Passable

The woman at the reception was very nice.

Writing in the description that there are free parking places for ALL guests, it is not correct. 20 rooms and just 10 places for cars could be uncomfortable for the guests.

It may have been a beautiful villa once...

Kind and friendly staff, one gentleman who told us about the history of Croatia was especially nice. Spacious rooms, balcony and big terracce for dining. Every room has air conditioner. The location was good, shopping center, restaurants, beautiful beaches and bus stop nearby.

It may have been a beautiful villa once, but now it is tired and in need of repair.The TV didn't work and when we mentioned it they said they knew and didn't come to fix it. There was no water in the pool. The coffee was not good, shower was broke etc

Very good

The room was very comfortable, breakfast really good. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them, value for money, would recommend.

The place needed a bit of work but definitely value for money.

Nice beautifull newly build hotel.

Can improve on cleanliness, fridge had black mould and little insects in it although it was empty it was not clean.

Wonderful stay

easy to reach from the airport, lies in a nice and quiet area close to the Mlini port and beaches. No car needed to get around. Dubrovnik Old City within easy reach. Very friendly and helpful staff - made us feel really welcome.

We didnt sleep at the hotel because at the last minute we were informed that our room had mistakingly been rented out. However, the hosts still made sure we had a very pleasant stay, which we most certainly did. The guest met us on arrival and personally checked us in a nice apartment downtown. Then she came to pick us up the next morrning and drove us to the hotel, where we were allowed to spend the whole day by the pool. Really nice spot to relax close to nice beaches on the Dubrovnick Riviera

This place works best if you have a car, less so if you depend on publuc transport

the staff was nice and is near a beach, a mall and good restaurants.

we expected to see a place with better maintenance. even though they have changed the furniture for a modern look the place doesnt look good. The air conditioner is too old so it doesnt work well in the heat of the summer, the bathroom walls werent clean. The pool looks dirty and the bed was comfortable.

Great place. Very convenient and value for money.

Great location, wonderful pool, great room and balcony. It was useful to have access to fridges to keep food and water cold.

Having access to a fridge was great but it would have been helpful in the same room to have had access to plates, cutlery and a sink. Although i appreciate it wasnt self catering.

Property was nice, bathroom perfect and bedroom is good.

I didn’t like the pool maybe cause of the trees (dey leafs) were falling in the pool OR maybe I couldn’t see pool filter inside.

The studio we had was very comfortable and modern and the staff were really pleasant. Franke was very caring for her guests welfare and made our stay enjoyable as she was full of good advice. If there was a problem, like the room change, Franke and her husband Sorted it out as quickly as possible.The breakfasts were very varied and tasty and Natalia in the kitchen was lovely and friendly.

The double room ,which we had at first, needed more storage space for the two weeks we stayed. The shower in that room was unusable until we were able to move out into the bigger studio after two days.

Comfortable stay in Villa Avantgarde

As a little minus, the location was a little bit out of Mlini center and beach (10-15 min walk), but on the other hand there is a shopping center nearby (K Centar Sub City 5-10 walk). The house is next to busy street, but our room was was very quiet and the view to the mountains was amazing. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was good enough (yoghurt, bread, fruits etc).

The swimming pool is quite small. Some of the staff members speak very little English, but everyone was very helpful so it is ok :)

Very pleasant stay

It is a pleasant place, easy and fast can reach the old town of Dubrivnik. Within 5 minutes walk there are beautiful beaches and restaurants. The room is clean and tidy. Friendly host and delicious breakfast. We could be here again!

Wonderful place full of charm

The experience of staying in this Villa takes accomodation to a higher luxurious level. The host lady is wonderful, she gives plenty of tips about what to do and where to eat in the surroundings of Dubrovnik. She is genuinely charming and she double checked if you need anything on breakfast time too. So caring! The rooms are comfortable and big, the bed is one of the best I have ever slept on. We used the swimming pool almost at sunset time and the water was still hot. And the icing on the cake is the breakfast, plenty of hot/cold sweet/salt options, in a lovely and elegant dining room with terrace. The girl in the breakfast service is also very very helpful and kind and charming. Charm is present in every corner of this beautiful place.

excellent breakfast and very good stay

Very nice breakfast, very good espresso and croisants, fresh orange juice. Good seating outside on the terrace and by the pool. Overall its a great value for a decent price. I highlight the good loaction near the beach, near the shopping center and the Sheraton hotel and restaurants.

Connections to the airport, if you are taking a bas from the airport it will take you to Dubrovnik and from Dubrovnik you need to take another bus to get there. Finally we went back taking a taxi. Bus tickets costs around 10 Euros per person, taxi is 25.

Apart from the weather in our 2nd week (wet and cold) we had a good relaxing holiday.

Breakfast was ok but the hot food was never hot. There was quite a good variety of food. The lady who served it was lovely and would do anything for you. The gentleman, one of the owners, was also very friendly. (He left us a bottle of wine on our last night) His son picked us up and dropped us off at the airport which was great as well as carrying our cases up and down the stairs. The pool was clean though small and deep. Not for non swimmers!

Like I said before the hot food was usually cold or tepid at best. The stairs did not have handrails and could have been dangerous. Not the hotel's fault but the road outside was the main route into Dubrovnik and there were no footpaths for part of it. The kitchenette only had a kettle and 2 gas rings. We would have liked a toaster and microwave as meals in were very limited. There only seemed to be 2 mattresses for the 14 plastic sunbeds at the pool. As it happened we had the pool mostly to ourselves so we didn't ask for any more.
