The location was close to the main places in town, fairly easy to find what we needed. I really liked the bar in the back; easy to relax in the afternoon and morning there. Staff were very friendly. My friend checked us in so not as informed about that experience. But they did let me store my bags after checkout, so that was nice. Also conveniently has a later-hours beverage place open barely a block away for late nights.
The infrastructure was a bit crumbling, which may be expected in a beach town. Also AC was a bit strange. It worked only when the window was closed (understandable but confusing at first without instructions on the wall or something). And it didn't quite cover the whole room so it was still pretty hot in August. Also not the fault of the hostel but something to keep in mind: the streets are very narrow even for carry-on sized luggage so you may have to hop onto the street when there are no cars.

The location is very good, the bed was super comfy and even though they had issues with electricity and the AC, both were repaired very quickly.
My room was a bit hard to find and the night receptionist didn’t give any instructions at first, so had a little struggle finding it and had to ask for help. Also the water pressure was quite weak in one of the bathrooms.

Position.
While the staff were courteous, they seemed unfamiliar with common tourist requests (sightseeing, transit tips, restaurant suggestions, etc.). Having those info available would have made the stay smoother and greatly improve the guest experience.

Good location, the room was spacious.
When we arrived they didn’t have any more towels for the day so we didn’t get towels. The beds looked not done which was a little weird.
The hostel is divided in 2 so it can be hard to move through both “houses” with your bags.
