If driving down to Zakopane or southern Poland, definitely would recommend Hotel Bania Thermal as a layover to break up your trip and/or a mini getaway as there are quite a few things to explore in the area. We bought passes Fun Passes for the morning of our check-in to the nearby Therma Bania, and then checked into our hotel that late afternoon - staying at the hotel grants you access to even more areas of Therma Bania and the hotel exclusive area which had amazing saunas, etc. Staff were very nice - we were not able to check in an hour early but the receptionist gave us a pass to the outdoor play area as we waited which was much appreciated. Room was set up for more then 2 guests and even had bathrobes for the different ages. Breakfast is absolutely amazing - a true feast! We are very grateful to our Polish friend for recommending this hotel as it was definitely a highlight of our trip!
Wish the hotel would let you park in their car park upon arrival as parking for the "day" which is limited to their check-in & out times and is expensive for Poland; because we wanted more time at Therma Bania we had to pay for parking in the lot next to the hotel and then parking in the hotel's car park upon check-in.
Please provide small square washclothes (facecloth/flannel) for easy cleaning of self in the shower - only need one hand towel and then washclothes for guests.
