8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
The location was excellent right in the centre of the old town, the room is basic but with a very good air con that kept the mosquitoes away, Dubrovnik has a lot of them we were told by a local, the room was a little dated and the bathroom a little small, but it was worth it for the price, it was one of the cheapest hotels and if your going to just spend the night it's worth booking, but if you want luxury and your room cleaned everyday then look elsewhere. We were out on tours each day so only came back at night, there is a bar downstairs and even with windows closed and A/C on we could still hear music till 2am, other than that it's a good budget hotel with it's charms as its an old building you would expect a few issues. We met the Hotel Manager Tommy a couple of times and he was very helpful. We stayed in room 3 and didn't have any of the issues that other people have suggested. This is a cheap and really dated hotel but with great location and I would stay here again just for that.
We stayed 3 nights the rooms were not cleaned and didn't get any new towels, as mentioned the Bar music played till 2am, breakfast was just a couple of juice cartons, slices of bread and a plate with slices of ham and cheese, from 9am to 10am wasnt very tempting to be honest, but plenty of places outside to do a good breakfast, should have provided Lavender for the mosquitoes in the rooms. The view from the room was the bedroom and kitchen for the flat across the way so had to keep our curtains closed.

The location was great. Right in the middle of the Old Town, close to both main gates for relatively easy pick-up and drop-off to/from the airport, and also for day-excursions. The staff was friendly, but not always available.
The AC started dripping the first day. When we told the staff, (which took a while to find), they said they would look into it, but didn't do anything eventually. There was no sign/button on the door for cleaning/housekeeping, and apparently nobody came throughout our 4-night stay. The sheets and towels were a little tattered. The breakfast is from 8-10, which is too late for most day excursions (starting at 6), but the staff will prepare some sandwiches and leave them in the refrigerator at the front desk, upon request. When we did have time to sit and eat, it was very simple (some bread, butter/jam/honey, 1 type of cheese and 1 type of cold-cut). The price we saw on Booking was 554.4 Eu + 21.6 Eu for the City Tax. When we arrived, we paid 597.6. It sounded a little higher than we remembered, and then when we checked, we realized the City Tax was actually charged twice. We asked the staff to refund the second charge, and were told they would discuss with management. Management didn't refund or even contact us. We wrote directly to the hotel, and to Booking, and neither have responded, for over 3 weeks now. We're still waiting, and will probably need to escalate this.

Liked the area...old town!
We were in room #1. Immediately next door was thebar/ restaurant Fat Cats. They had the disco music running from 5 in the afternoon until 1 am. Loud enough that my wife and I couldn't sleep until then. Very annoying. You know that the bar is open late. At least tell guests what they should be ready for. Definitely won't recommend to others. .

Location excellent just off main strip in old town
Mouldy smell. Eaten alive by mosquitos probably because loads of holes etc in building plus i did see a beetle or possibly cockroach. Breakfast very very basic.
