The receptionist was incredibly helpful, both before the trip, and upon my arrival. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. My favorite part of the stay, however, was the wonderful access to the lake, and the beautiful view directly from the hostel grounds. Upon staff recommendation, I enjoyed a gluten-frei pizza following a beautiful 20 minute stroll into the town. I would certainly return!
Access to an electric kettle would have been appreciated, but I knew ahead that none would be provided.

The location is the main highlight: close to the lake, free parking, good WiFi, and clean throughout, though the interior is quite dated.
Unfortunately, some basics were missing: no soap at all, only small hand towels, and no handheld showerhead.
Breakfast was very simple, and when my daughter asked to take one bread roll with her (breakfast ends at 9:00 and she wasn’t hungry yet) we were asked to pay extra. For a single roll(Semmel) for a child, this felt unnecessary and left her feeling unwelcome.
Checkout at 9:30 is quite early, though it is stated in the rules.
I also want to mention the reception. The staff member was visibly holding back irritation when communicating with us, without any apparent reason. We were not given mobility cards at check-in or check-out, and only when we asked at the very end were we told she assumed we wouldn’t need them (since one of us was attending a competition) even though she was fully aware the other three were simply on holiday. At other accommodations, we have always received these cards automatically without having to ask.
