The location was good, right near the town centre. The room was a good size. The staff, on the whole, were friendly. When we mentioned the problems with our stay an attempt was made to rectify it however we went there for a special occasion and it didn’t feel very special. If we’d had known that the hotel was no better than a premier inn we would haves have booked that and saved some money.

The room was ‘tired.’ There were cobwebs and spots where the walls were chipped and the plaster was showing. The service in the restaurant was confused and disorganised. Our wine came out before our cocktails. Our sides didn’t appear until we asked for them. It felt like the team wasn’t cohesive and didn’t have clear roles and responsibilities. This led to a stressful dining experience.
