Room was about as promised, had configurable heating and air conditioning. There was a fridge and a tea kettle for us to use. The breakfasts were great, the scrambled eggs and grilled aubergines and zucchinis were fantastic. Reception staff was trying to be helpful. Price was good. We were brought a small dessert with "Happy bithday" on it that we didnt order - we tried to explain to the staff member that we didnt order it and it was not my or my girlfriends birthday anytime soon, but they didnt speak English and insisted we take it. Since they didnt charge us anything for it, I suppose that was a good thing. Apart from the shower, the bathroom was clean.
The hygiene situation in the bathroom was problematic. The shower had a black mold problem - we tried telling the staff as well as the reception, the cleaning lady wiped it a little, but it didnt help much. That really brought the whole experience down. The walls in the room had stains on them. Pretty much nobody from the staff spoke English with the exception of the receptionist, who spoke a little bit of it. The claimed 4 stars definitely dont fit this hotel - while the lobby and exterior are beautiful, the room was very much mediocre. The room was really small and walls were paper thin, we could hear everything from the rooms around us.

The room is a great size with everything you need. My window overlooks a new building which is being built so lots of building work noise in the night and early morning. Breakfast was surprisingly good with lots on offer.
You need to get a taxi from the centre to the hotel. Hotel is located on a residential street ( weird) but has access to many food places and cafes. Cafes are a big thing in Ankara!
