Booked on very short notice as all flights were being cancelled. Despite turning up at midnight the room was ready, comfortable and clean and bright. Lovely little apartment block tucked away just off the main road. Very quiet but only a few minutes walk to a lot of things. The pool was excellent. Staff were so helpful. It's an unpretentious little place that does exactly what it says and what you need for a relaxing break. More geared towards adults who want to chill out under a sun umbrella than for kids. Very very handy little convenience shop at the entrance to the road leading down to it and the owner in there is lovely. We only booked it in desperation as all flights were being cancelled and I didn't handle the time to research it but I've actually put it on my list of places I'd return to. Even the free strong WiFi was brilliant which was a Godsend as my data useage was being blown out the water towards the end of our holiday.
Genuinely can't think of anything that warrants being listed. If I absolutely HAD to say one thing it would be that a larger TV with some English speaking channels on it would make the place perfect. I know you don't go away to watch TV but sometimes it's nice to lie in bed at night and watch a film.

The cleanliness and location were excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Dimitra herself, the owner, was exceptionally kind, especially considering that due to a flight issue we arrived two days late. She kindly adjusted the cost of our stay accordingly. Margherita was also always available and ready to help with anything we needed. What more can I say other than that I highly recommend staying at Dimitra Apartments Gouvia.
About the WiFi problem this is a issue related the entire island.
If I really had to suggest one area for improvement, it would be the oven. However, this absolutely did not affect our stay in any way.
