I can only compare with hotels/Eilat field school in Israel, which have an entirely different price point of course, but this place is just gorgeous. Wonderful. A marvel. On the 4th floor it is outrageously quiet, because it's at the top floor. So no movement or trampling above you, none at all. Even in summer without available air conditioning it is cool in the night. Only staircase, no lift, but beautiful careful renovated from an old eastern German "Lehrlingsheim" with original elements from architecture preserved in every second floor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast.
I was in Jena travelling with the "Deutschlandticket". Available via web app from Hamburg's public transportation also for fragments of a month, so you save more money the later you book here (example: on MAY20 you only pay for remaining period of month, so only about 20 EUR for free ride on all public transportation in all of Germany, not only Jena! Don't forget to cancel subscription in time! Choose form of payment wisely, so you can cancel.)
No helicopter shuttle service to the airport. (Just kidding)
Only downside for religious Israeli or Jewish travellers I can imagine: breakfast isn't "glat kosher." But that's extremely rare in Germany anyways, sadly. For me who keeps "pretty almost kosher" (no not kosher slaughtered mammals orthodox rabbinical certified, no seafood beyond kosher fish, no mixing of meat&milk, avoid eating insects) --just perfect!

Room clean, exactly as advertised/described, WiFi worked well.
No cutlery (spoons, forks, knives etc) in kitchen. Kitchen messy. Bathroom unclean.
