This is an interesting place to stay. We guessed that if you are into fishing it is probably amazing.
The buildings are interesting and quirky, it is all full of fishing and hunting (mostly fishing) decoration.
There are a lot of common areas which are very nice.
We got a big room with our own bathroom.
We had dinner on site and the food was very good.
Breakfast is really great.
It just does not look like the pictures very much, our room was in fact in the pictures but the lighting really made a difference in real life. And not a positive one.
In the room description we had a bunch of things that were nowhere to be seen: the water heater was in the common area; there was absolutely no patio; there was no private entrance at all, we had in fact to climb stairs (one of us is injured in one foot and that was not super pleasant); there was absolutely no soundproofing, the opposite was true, we heard everybody until late at night; our room had 0 views (no garden, no mountain, no river, just the roof mildly); and of course it had no terrace.
We expected to arrive to some nice cabin that had our own entry and outdoor space and we ended up sharing a building with many noisy neighbors. The common areas were great though, but not the expectation. It was a perfectly fine hotel, but maybe there is no need to advertise things that are not delivered.
In our room there was no phone coverage and no Wi-Fi, though one could connect to the Wi-Fi, again, in the common areas.
The staff are very nice and helpful.
