This is an excellent little hostel not too far from the centre and with views over the town. My room had a nice desk and chair as well as an easy chair and an en suite bathroom. The lady did my laundry in less than a day, and the man was very helpful in explaining where I could find the Inca site I was looking for.
This hostel seems like it has had more guests in the past, and at the moment seems a little lonely. But that is obviously not the staff's fault!

super comfy large bed, table w chair, lounge chair, tv, blockout curtains, nice bathroom
thought has gone into making these rooms comfortable, including position of power outlet and lights
breakfast: tasty, sufficient
there are some cluster seating spaces inside and outside
10min walk from down - street from top of main square gives the easiest gradient.
with luggage you could take a yellow taxi up.
downtown area has multiple cafes and restos, and town has a market - very glad that I stopped over, as on the bus passing through town centre i wouldn't have appreciated it.

the bathroom smelled of sewer gas despite running g water in
water, the beds were hard as rocks, one morning the coffee and tea wer
