You ned to press the Hostal bell outside to open the door, then go up to the 1st floor to reception. The room was very quiet and peaceful. The fan was very effective, even in very hot weather. I adjusted it to a quiet setting for the night. I had my own bathroom. It's more of a b and b rather than a hostal with dorms.
The location was great, very central and across the bridge to the Basilica de Pilar, which is worth visiting. There are lots of restaurants across the bridge and a variety of Museums. (Goya and History of Zaragoza re shut currently.). You can get breakfast at a nearby cafe. Buses to and from the airport are nearby, changing at the train station or on another street. (Airport buses don't always run on the times advertised - I think it depends on what flights are there.)
There was a slight smell of smoke on arrival, but this didn't seem to be a problem later. I found the room very quiet but had read reviews of it being noisy, perhaps this has changed.

good location close to the old town. Easy parking in car park in front of hostal.
small room, no kettle, thin walls, could hear everything in the room next door who were up early! not very clear to find as difficult to find entrance, wasn’t sure how to get into block, someone let us in then you have to go to first floor then the hostal is just behind a door! strange set up!
