Property was very clean, perfect location in the centre of the town. Felt like you were staying in a hotel. Breakfast was lovely as well. Staff were brilliant also very helpful. Cheap as well. Would definitely stay here again.

I wouldn't recommend this place.

I had a nice breakfast.....down the street!! The hosts didn't give me breakfast cos I had forgotten to order online, so that was very disappointing for me. I asked them the night before but they said they had a tour coming and couldn't accommodate me

The accommodation was nice but I was left with a bad vibe because they wouldn't do breakfast for me. Eventhough the hosts I met were pleasant, there was no sense that they cared whether I had a good experience there.

Fun stay!

excellent property and easy to locate. Very comfortable with an excellent throwback vibe

Never saw the staff, unable to communicate with owner/manager and struggled to locate key to room. However I booked through booking.com (3rd party) last minute and the owner may not have been aware of booking?

Bed and NO Breakfast

The hotel didn’t serve us any breakfast. When we asked they simply said they were not doing it.

We paid and got charged for a full board and breakfast. We received no breakfast but room was OK.

It was clean and comfortable

There was no staff person to greet us. The door was wide open and no one was in the facility. The owner showed up to give us the key and then we never saw him again with no explanation about not serving any breakfast or who to give the key to. There was no breakfast.

OK B&B but not welcoming.

The students working there were nice. The room was comfortable with blackout blinds. It was quiet and relaxing.

Nobody lived at the B&B and this was a problem when the fire alarm went off during the night and took some time to rectify. No breakfast available despite mention on website. Mould on blind in bathroom and shower needs to be grouted.

Overall a lovely spot for a quiet night in a comfy room on our Backroads of Ireland road trip by car

We had the place virtually to ourselves, so very quiet in the building and our room backed to a pasture with 2 handsome sheep grazing contentedly. We could walk to a sweet cafe for excellent coffee and baked goods and enjoyed the ambience and setting of The South Pole Inn commemorating local adventurer Tom Crean's participation in the Shackleton Expedition. Annascaul is a lovely hamlet--neat and quiet. Enjoyed our stay as we traveled the backroads of Ireland! (As an aside, the thatched roof lodge also hosts Paddywagon Tours, so our experience of having the place to ourselves was probably unique0

Don't recall if we had coffee service in our room. We did not have breakfast avaialble to us at this visit, so coffee service in the room would be appreciated. B ut, as mentioned, a great coffee shop is a short walk.

Definitely recommend!

Owner very friendly! Lovely man. Breakfast was delicious and rooms very clean!! Will definitely come back if I’m in the area again. And definitely recommend it :)

It was passable. I wouldn't stay here again.

I didnt take breakfast. It was expensive for the lack of choice on offer. I felt that the entire property needed a deep clean. Floors were grubby, radiators were stained and the grout round the tiles in the wet room was mouldy. There was no chair and no dressing table. I had asked for a quiet room but was given one facing a busy main road. I didn't sleep after 6am. The staff are charming and gracious.

the property could have been very much cleaner and I would have liked a quiet room as requested in advance.

The room and areas within the bed and breakfast were spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was great value for money.

Fantastic. Would stay again

Our two hosts were great and very friendly. Value for money was fantastic and breakfast (which was delicious) was included in the price. On site Wifi, comfortable bedrooms, decent bathroom facilities, just an overall great place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Not much to say here, top notch stay. Very few downsides.

Really enjoyable and will be back

A very enjoyable stay and will return. Great location, The lady running it was so obliging and helpful. And even offered me a free breakfast, as the communal TV wasn't working. I ended up with a double room instead of a single which was another bonus. Its hard to find accommodation where the price accommodates a solo traveller, but this is definitely one of them. Thank you and well done.

The only issue was the communal tv not working, but the staff certainly went out of their way to help me still get to watch the football. This was out of their hands until a tv engineer came, and they couldn't have been more helpful letting me watch tv next door and setting up the ipad for me. Thanks again to the lovely staff.
