We had an early morning flight from Chengdu (CTU) to Hong Kong, and the location of the Joyhub Air Hotel was perfect. It’s only about a 6-minute walk to Terminal 1. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus if needed, but for us, walking was quicker and more convenient.
Breakfast starts at 5:30 a.m., which was ideal as we needed to check in for our flight at 6:00 a.m.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel also has a restaurant, so we were able to have dinner there the night before without having to go elsewhere or into downtown Chengdu.
Overall, a very convenient and comfortable hotel for an early morning flight from CTU.
It was surprising that none of the staff spoke English, which we would expect from a five-star hotel welcoming international guests. Fortunately, Google Translate helped us with our enquiries.
The breakfast selection was quite limited but sufficient. Overall, we expected a higher level of quality and service from a five-star hotel.
For these reasons, we rate the hotel 9 out of 10.

Great hotel in the airport when you are stationed for a day or two, great facilities and staff, big rooms, great food at the hotel.
