The Charming heritage stay with room for improvement—the village walk is a must!
We chose Amritara Chandra Mahal Haveli for its quiet rural location and great yesteryear charm. It certainly has plenty of yesteryear charm though it could do with a bit of a facelift. That said, the hard-working staff did everything they could to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The absolute highlight was the guided walk through the village with Phoolsingh, who patiently answered all our questions about local life patiently. For that experience alone, I would recommend staying here!
A few small annoyances impacted our comfort: we couldn't get hot water to work, finding a functional socket for the kettle was difficult, and the fridge was tucked inside a cupboard blocked by furniture. Additionally, the window drapes meant choosing between complete privacy or natural light—a sheer curtain would make a huge difference here.

Beautiful heritage hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms and good bathroom. A little dark, no bedside light but opened out onto a pretty garden. The pool looked nice but we generally don’t swim. Restaurant was good.
It’s a resort in itself, fairly remote so you need to be happy with the hotel and grounds.

Beautiful surroundings. Ideal place to relax after the busyness of the city. Breakfast plentiful and delicious, as was dinner the previous evening. Staff going out of their way to ensure comfort.

The room, pool, food was good. The service and staff were very cooperative and helpful especially the GM- Mr Rakesh and his team. The food was very good no doubt.
what disappointed me was the monkey poop all around the room sit out area and even the terrace, The buffalos next to the hotel made the area stink of cow dung at all times, Though the room and sit out was cleaned and managed by the staff and helped us enjoy the private pool in our suite.
