About this cottage rental
Far Wicken Hall Farm is situated on the Saddleworth border, in a unique secluded setting with private access.The cottage is an extensive fully renovated barn on a small working farm, which overlooks Ogden reservoir, it has uninterrupted views of the South Pennines, making it ideal family accommodation,
It is also perfect for people coming to the area on business, as we are only 5 mins from exit 21 +22 of the M62.
The cottage is fully central heated throughout, it boasts 3 spacious double bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, one of which is downstairs. As expected there is a fully equipped kitchen. The lounge area has a Smart TV, luxury leather seating and a wood burning stove.
On arrival all guest's receive a complimentary welcome pack, consisting of homemade produce.
Far Wicken Hall is 5 star Visit Britain rated and has been for the last 15 yrs. The hard work and dedication that goes into obtaining this level of excellence is immense, along with Fionas 30yrs of hotel management experience, ensures all our guest's receive top class holiday accommodation.
You won't have to travel far to explore the lovely pub/ restaurants in our area.
There are numerous beautiful walks, including the Piethorne Valley.

This includes using products with disinfectant where relevant, which conforms to Bsen14476 (certified to eradicate sars cov-2 coronavirus ) Be assured all surfaces and furnishings will very thoroughly cleaned, ventilated and disinfected at every changeover.

Our family of three spent nine days at this stunning, upscale home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Fiona made us feel incredibly welcome. We were greeted with a delightful spread of farm-fresh goodies and all the makings for a lovely afternoon tea—such a thoughtful, high-end touch that set the tone for our entire stay.The House & HospitalityThe home itself is beautifully decorated, balancing style with comfort perfectly. It felt like a true sanctuary. Fiona and Andrew were the ideal hosts; they were always available if we had a question but gave us complete privacy to enjoy the space.A Hiker’s ParadiseThe location is a dream for anyone who loves the outdoors. You can literally walk out the front door and have two incredible options: One direction: A half-mile walk leads you to a network of 12 fantastic trails. The other direction: Head over the hill to find another batch of trails leading toward Old Town.The area is so walkable that while most people might drive the 15 miles to Manchester, my son actually decided to walk there one day! Perfect Base for ExploringIf you prefer four wheels over two feet, this is a brilliant central hub. We found it incredibly easy to take day trips to: Blackpool Liverpool Manchester RochdaleWe thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our nine-day stay. If you’re looking for an upscale, peaceful retreat with unbeatable trail access and warm hospitality, look no further.

lmmaculately clean. Well equipped. Easter Eggs provided for the children.On arrival table set for afternoon tea, cakes etc and a wonderful apple pie. Hosts usually around. Children enjoyed seeing the animals and made great friends with the cats.Highly recommended
