The best stay we have ever had in India while staying here for a year.

This place was amazing. I felt like I was in a jungle with a giant squirrel that I could often see from the balcony, also there was a large group of langurs we saw multiple times during our 4-day stay and we had macaques visiting the pool area. There were quite some exotic birds too, including a visiting woodpecker, a jungle owl, and there were so many drongos flying around. We stayed on the first floor where wifi was good enough to stream Netflix. The staff was amazing: such nice people who did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Great value for money and also a great place to bring your kids.

We ordered a lot of food and had a try of many (affordable) dishes. The mezze was fantastic and one of our kids loved the tomato pasta, but the rest of the food, including breakfast, was not as good as hoped.

Holiday with friend

Staff were friendly, free drinking water refilling station. Spacious rooms with balcony with table and chairs on balcony. Beds comfy. Large bathroom. Lovely gardens with lots of wildlife. Welcome drink, onsite dining area serving breakfast, lunch, dinner. Lots of advice on where to visit in the area.

Back to nature

In a great central location, this is really an amazing place to stay, we were woken by a family of monkeys on our balcony, which was great entertainment , you are surrounded by nature, we also saw black monkeys and beautiful birds, all in tge hotel grounds! The room is very nicely decorated, you feel at one with nature. The staff so friendly and welcoming.

Amazing Staff - Simple but, neat room - Food was amazing ( I’d visit again for the breakfast there - simple but delicious). All attractions are at a walkable distance.

perfect, would love to come back

the staff, breakfast, location, swimming pool, no noise or music, birds singing, feeling of chill, loving, lounging,place, tea in morning in front of the door, beautiful drawings everywhere a place with the heart of the owners and staff in there.

Stay here! And you won't regret it.

Me and my father booked this hotel as we arrived one day ahead of schedule. We ended up staying for 4 nights and cancelled our original booking. What a lovely hotel in a natural environment. The owner and the rest of the staff are lovely people. They make you feel like family members. We saw monkeys, many types of birds and giant squirrels from our balcony. The artwork in the hotel is very nice and done by people from all over the world. Pool on the roof is a big plus as well. Oh and I almost forget to mention the tasty lemon soda's you can order during your stay!! Everything is great, great, great.

Not the hotel's fault, but some noise coming from the town for two nights. Disturbing the peace and not matching the peaceful area.

best hotel in Kerala

the Hotel is just wonderful. the best hotel experience during our trip in Kerala. the rooms offer everything a tourist is looking for: comfortable bed, clean, balcony with a view of the surrounding and the wildlife around the place, delicious breakfast with homemade ingredients, super comfortable common areas especially the sofas on the roof top. and on top you get the friendliest staff and the owner who just knows, what you want and seek as a tourist. thank you for everything!

Out favourite hotel stay in India

We loved the management and all the attention to detail. Our room was amongst the trees, we watched giant squirrels and Langurs from our balcony. very peaceful

Perfect place to relax

Chrissie's Hotel was perfect. The room was a great size and clean. We were on the top floor so could sit on the balcony and enjoy watching the giant squirrels and monkeys from there. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Adel runs the perfect place! They helped us organise a day trip into the national park. The pool on the roof top is spotless! Breakfast was such a great selection which filled us up for the day.

The only thing would be that we didn't stay longer.

A beautiful heaven, run by a lovely couple.

Everything. Beautiful rooms. greenery everywhere around you. the rooftop and pool were such a treat. breakfast was delicious (homemade banana jam!) lime soda whenever you would like it etc. location was great and they organised our national park tour for us before we arrived which saved us missing out. Adel was the nicest person, so eager to help and great to chat with! highly recommend!!

Super nice hosts but a bit pricey.

The rooftop ambience is great, with a swimming pool and nice views all around. Though be ready to get bitten by mosquitoes because its in the middle of so many trees. I guess on the rooftop they can have some mosquitoes spray or something. And yes, hosts are great! You will get everything you'll need.

I think rooms were not great value for money. For ~3300 rs/night it is too much compared to the facilities.

EVERYTHING. The staff takes great care to make your stay comfortable. There is hot water waiting by your room every morning, the breakfast is delicious (mix of local and continental), we were offered plenty og tea and coffee (and a hair dryer after catching the rain); they have great recommendations for day trips—they will help arrange anything from an ayurvedic massage to a day-long bamboo rafting. There is also a wonderful yoga teacher. the location is otherwordly, right in a middle of a jungle with frequent animal visitors

Chrissie’s hotel has everything! we really enjoyed being in the forest, seeing all the animals and feeling relaxed. It is an oasis of art, nature and friendliness. From the breakfast to helping our itinerary plans it was all taken care of with an easy, clear and affordable touch. Really could not recommend it more to go here!
