An excellent location, right next to the main park entrance for Wilpattu. Their rooms are in a variety of buildings, we were in the best one with a balcony which overlooks a large open green area
Variety of food on offer was limited, although the service and quality of food was good.

We were the only people staying at the time. The staff went beyond our expectations making us feel very welcome.
The location could not be better as it is 5 mins walk from the entrance gate to the park. It is also right beside a lake which is 1 mins walk away. We had elephants grazing at night in the trees below our room, fantastic ! We left early in the morning, before breakfast to do a safari and the staff prepared a beautiful breakfast for us to take on our tour.
Thank you so much for all the trouble you went to to cater just for us ,we felt so lucky. Ian and Barney.

We had a fantastic stay at Wilpattu Treehouse and really enjoyed our time here. The setting is wonderful, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. It was also a great base for our Wilpattu safari. We were very well looked after throughout our stay and, aside from the issue with meal pricing, we would have come away feeling extremely positive about the whole experience.
Our only disappointment was the lack of transparency around food and drink prices. No menus or price lists were provided, and drinks and desserts were offered with each meal without any indication that they were additional charges. We were therefore surprised at checkout to find, for example, soft drinks charged at USD $4 and fruit salad with ice cream at USD $5.50, plus a 10% service charge.
The food and service were excellent, but we would have made different choices had the prices been clear. Providing guests with a menu would easily resolve this and would have avoided a disappointing end to an otherwise fantastic stay.

Fantastic location for the entrance to the national park. Friendly, attentive staff. Tour for safari well organised.
No indoor lounge to relax in.
