We loved everything about the property. This was a gracious home to stay in everything well appointed great breakfast very comfortable. The location was absolutely Stellar for us and just beautiful. staying at the farmhouse Lodge just made our stay in Iceland that much more special.

During our week-long stay in Iceland, Mom and I liked this property the most. It was exceptionally beautiful and the rooms were both gorgeous and comfortable. We loved being able to have a chill drink in the kitchen area after a full day of hiking and exploring. The breakfast also fully satisfied us. Plus, it’s right next to a gorgeous hike (Brúará Falls), AND an iconic ice cream spot (Efstidalus II). It was possibly my favorite stay of the trip!

Breakfast was included with room price and was very good. Variety of breads ,meat, cheese ,cooked eggs, cereal, some veg, fruit, tea, coffee, juice, jams, honey. Our host was lovely, very informative. There is a hot tub available also, but we were too jet lagged to give it a try. The kitchen was also available in the evening if you wanted to use it.

Very pretty location out of the way and quiet.
We were greeted by the hostess and was asked immediately for payment. No chance to bring our luggage in or feel welcomed. The room was very small. The pillows were flat and offered no padding. The windows had to remain closed due to a mosquito problem and was very stuffy. While I understand the need for rules, signs all over the walls was a little off putting. The breakfast was made for meat lovers, only one kind of fruit and no hot item despite a full house . We were booked for 2 nights but left after the first one as no one slept much at all. Given the price point, seemed a little pricey for what is offered.
