This hotel has the rooms straight in the paradise, 20m from one of the most amazing beach in Utila, the staff is really friendly and helpfull, the food at the restaurant is great and there are corals and all the kind of fishes straight in the sea in front, perfect to snorkel at the sunset and sunrise(considering that the tourists are there till 5.30pm it’s basically a private beach at the sunset. AMAZING
There is the public boat service every hour, if u miss it u have to wait 1 h. They have a motor taxi available in case you need to go to the main village

The staff was awesome and very helpful. Also the food at Neptunes was very good.
There was nothing to do other than snorkel and dive. The room was small, no tv and no reading chair so you could sit and read. Also the ferry schedule prevents you from leaving the island after 5:30 pm. Also the mosquitoes were the worst I have ever seen. Don’t go in August or September because of the mosquitoes.

Relaxing atmosphere and beauty.

Nothing. We refused to stay there
This place is in the middle of nowhere.. a long tuktuk ride followed by a long wait for the boat that comes once per hour and then a sailing to the hotel. . And there nothing there. One restaurant, a beach, but no dive club, no choice of food.

The location was perfect for our one night stay! We loved being right on the beach and having the place mostly to ourselves for the morning. The bed was massive and comfortable and it was nice having a coffee maker in our room. The open air shower was really lovely as well.
The shower never got hot, which wasn’t much of an issue since it was so warm outside but if we had stayed more than one night we’d have missed it. Breakfast isn’t served until 9:30am as well, which is quite late for us! Would recommend bringing snacks or something if you wake up early like us. :) again, coffee is provided in the room. everything else was wonderful!

Property was beautiful, sunsets and snorkel from the pier. Plenty of wildlife like hermit crabs, lizards and birds. Manager Jen organized trips and we got picked up at the property dock. Restaurant had unique, delicious menu options and we tried all the desserts. We were apprehensive about getting there but it was quite easy. From the ferry a tuk tuk will meet you and transport you and your luggage a short way to the boat dock. The shuttle boat takes you a short way to the property. The private units on the are beach delightful.
Put on your bug spray, I kept forgetting before my morning stroll.

Very relaxing in the morning/end of day. The huts are big enough, clean and well equipped. Diving schools pick you up at the dock in front. The transport to and from the hotel is well organized. I would definitely stay there again!
After 3 days of rain the tiny house was very humid and the beach can be crowded during the day.

Had a great time. The snorkeling from the property is excellent, right from their dock! The manager Jen has great customer service and communication before arrival was easy. Arranged our pick up from the ferry and back which was also a bonus and extremely helpful to make the travel to and from the property easy without stress. The room was very clean, nice natural design features and I rested very well. I think this is a great place to stay to rest and relax, plus enjoy the water for snorkeling from their dock.
Nothing bad to say! The only thing I could think of is I prefer to stay on the weekdays when its a quieter. The weekends are a little bit busier with people visiting Neptunes.

Jenn is absolutely incredible property manager and goes above and beyond to make the place run smoothly / to make sure your trip goes well. It's really very very impressive. The location itself is also lovely if you want to get away from the town into something more peaceful. There's a dock and dive boats will pick you up from the hotel.
Policy to charge (i think around $20, but could be wrong) to catch a boat back to town outside of regular hours (morning to around 6ish). The hotel should change this policy for guests since it's the only way to get to the hotel.

the privacy, the staff they went above and beyond! I liked Jennifer who was amazing at helping us with all our needs
no TV, shower it didn’t work so well and too many sand flies

Everything. Location is great. You need to ride a boat to get here, so it’s away from the party scene. it’s quiet, serene, relaxing. Though it’s sad to see trash washed up on shore, the coral reef is still alive and teeming with life. awesome spot to snorkel. The room is spacious and clean, with super comfortable bed and pillows. I really enjoyed the outdoor shower! Staff are wonderful. I find that not a lot of locals in Utila are friendly to travelers, but it’s a different story here. Everyone is friendly and warm, specially Jennifer and Miriam. Hands down the best staff - welcoming, helpful and accommodating to my vegan diet and other needs such as transport/random questions.
Neptunes also provide tasty food and good cocktails.
If you’re in Utila, you have GOT to stay here!
iguanas….not really a bad thing. I’m just deathly afraid of them.

Breakfast is offered too late.
Some things in the facility did not work as stated and the transportation should be offered earlier.
