About this condo rental
Situated in Alvor, this attractive condo for $103 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Villa Marachique is a beautiful development with apartment buildings surrounding a lovely landscaped swimming pool. The whole area is enclosed and grassed slopes lead down to the central lagoon style and separate toddlers’ pool with a playground. There is a snack bar by the pool (high season only), an outdoor cloakroom, a great shallow end with beach effect, and the whole area is lovely for families with children. The magnificent Algarve sunlight illuminate beautiful views from the apartment towards the sea at Alvor and Lagos bay, especially on mornings. The nearby shore offers a large choice of beautiful long sandy beaches and creeks surrounded by golden cliffs, the nearest being within 1.5 km walk. With more than 3000 sunshine hours yearly, the Algarve generally invite vacationers to laziness on the beach or around the pool, but the area is also excellent with leisure for all: the area is rich of its many activity resources as can be found on the ‘turismo’ site visitalgarve.pt The excellent Portuguese food is available from about 6 local restaurants and a few groceries within a 5 minute stroll, but the hire of a car open the choice to many more and is recommended when staying at this property. Vila Marachique is 2 km far from the centre of the picturesque but livened up old village of Alvor and of the night-life vibrating centre of Praia-da-Rocha. ACCOMODATION FOR 5 This is a modern 2 bedroom recently built apartment, with reversible air conditioning, nicely furnished and decorated in a vacation-to-the-sea spirit. The apartment has a spacious entrance hall (a locked cupboard houses the owners’ personal effects). Directly ahead is the bedroom area with a large double bedroom, fitted wardrobe and en-suite full bathroom. The second bedroom is a triple with 3 full sized single beds (cot available), and there is another full bathroom. To the right of the hall, an archway leads to the spacious sitting/dining room with comfortable seating, dining table and a connected HD television with DVD player. Patio doors from the sitting room lead out to an external dining terrace with table and chairs and a great view. The very smart fitted kitchen is separated from the main living area by a breakfast bar, and is equipped to a high standard; fridge with freezer compartment, gas and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, plus all the usual equipment. From there, sliding doors lead to an external utility area with a washing machine, additional fridge and drying terrace. SERVICES The apartment is connected to mains water, gas, electricity, NOS cable TV with many channels in various languages (including English) and true broadband Internet access with WIFI. There is a cleaning service each week or on changeover day. There is a local bus service into Alvor or Portimao, but a taxi might be cheaper especially if there are 4 of you. For car renters, there is parking space available outside the block.

Vila Marachique is a perfect place for children. The apartment is lovely and contains everything needed.
My only criticism is that we could not go on to the balcony as the safety grid does not go all the way down, there is a gap large enough for a young child to climb through, which needs to be addressed.

Beautiful place
We had an amazing time from start to finish. The apartment was lovely, so clean and was very well equipped. The pictures of the pool don’t do it justice. We can’t wait to go back!

The pool, pool area and bar are fantastic, despite the amount of apartments it was never crowded although our stay was in early September after the UK school holidays.
There are a couple of good restaurants very close by and a small shop for basics. The larger supermarket is in the town.
The beach is about a 20 minute walk but there are car parks.
Can thoroughly recommend this apartment and the booking process with Home Away is simple and straight forward, the reps in Alvor were lovely and I am sure if we had had any problems would have been very helpful.

Breathtaking view from Apartment
My son and myself had a wonderful 6 day break in our chosen villa, it was home from home in all aspects, so relaxing and well equiped, could not want for anything more. I would highly recommend and definitely would return. We had a car which made it very easy for my son and I to get out and about to explore. Although we only used the pool area once due to the very strong winds we had, it is very clean and well cared for. Thank you,

We stayed in apt 304 block 6. It was spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a fab balcony with pool and sea views. The apartment had everything and more. Well furnished and had all the white goods. Lovely spot and about 20 mins walk into Alvor Centre. A taxi back was 4 Euros. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent Apartment! Highly Recommend
Just home from this amazing resort. VM-304 was like a home away from home, there were 6 of us who stayed here at this apartment and there was loads of room to have your own space. The views from the balcony where amazing especially in the evening. This apartment was very clean and had everything you need and more! The AC was top class which kept all the rooms in the apartment cool. The pool was one of the best outdoor pools I've ever seen and the kids pool was ideal for my 4 year old daughter as it wasn't over crowded and it was just the right depth for her.! It is a 15-20 minute walk into Alvor village but we didn't mind as the walk was lovely in the evening. I would highly recommend this apartment to all families with kids young and old.... as the WiFi is great bonus!!

Easter holiday in Marachique
We spent a week in Marachique and had a great stay during Easter! We got a fantastic weather beginning of April (27 degrees during the day) and really loved to walk to the postcard Alvor beach, just a click away from the lovely apartment and its huge swimming pool. With loads of restaurants and bars at walking distance from the flat, we also enjoyed having Portuguese food every evening.
The apartment itself is big, clean and elegantly furnished.
Grandparents, parents and kids really loved the site and will definitely go back to have more very affordable fresh orange juice at the swimming pool bar!

Fabulous resort and apartment was top notch.
Family of 4, loved our stay here. Have stayed at the complex on a number of occasions but this was the first time at VM-304. Everything about the apartment was perfect. Pool and sea views a bonus and ofcource with 2 teenage kids the far internet was a big plus. Will hope to return in 2016 again.

This apartment is ideal for a 3 children family. This is large enough for everyone to have its own space.
Moreover, the location is very close to the beach then the issue is to choose between rhe pool or the beach.
