Communication from the owner was first class, from the day we booked until our arrival. The flat is in a convenient location for our needs and would definitely suit someone needing a central location as this is close to all amenities. Private parking is available with extra free parking very close by. It was great to have towels and soap provided, including hand towels. The helpful items like tea, coffee, and sugar were supplied and plentiful. A co-op store is 2 minutes away and open long hours if milk is required. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of storage drawers and hanging space. The beds were comfy, and having both a blind and curtains helped to block the early morning sun. Very useful with 2 small children. The shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. Nice to have a proper table for meals. It's great to have 2 toilets in the flat. The kitchen was a decent size if needed to prepare meals. We would definitely recommend staying here and are likely to rebook in the future.

A few wee things stopped it from being a 5 star review. The grouting on both floor and wall tiles were in need of attention, and there was mould around the trim of the bath, something I think is easily solved with regular use of a spray mould remover. The bathroom mirror looked old and tired, and the sofa looked a bit dated but still very comfortable. None of these things would stop me from rebooking nor recommending, it's just worth noting why I didn't rate as excellent. Everything else was perfect and certainly better value than a travelodge or similar.

The property is in the centre of town and conveniently situated. For shops on the High Street a d a good starting point for trips.

I thought the jot water was very hot and needed a notice to warn of risk of scalding. As an older person I found getting in and out of the Bath/shower a little risky, perhaps a grab rail would assist in this..

Location and size of apartment made it a good choice for our weekend away whilst we were visiting friends.

Overall the apartment was OK. However there were a few disappointments, made even more so when you read reviews from previous bookings reporting the issues. The beds in this property really let it down, they're easily the most uncomfortable sleep we've ever had, they're too low, mattresses have seen better days and one of the bed frames had broken slats which having read a review from mid April, I'm perplexed to understand why they haven't been fixed. The main bathroom also lets this property down, years of use are very evident with lots of mould on tile grout and sealant, nothing a little bleach and elbow grease won't fix, just a shame that it was felt OK to leave in this condition in the first place.
