overpriced, uncomfortable stay

the room is rather small for 2 people and the mattress is on the floor. the mattress has an uneven surface and not comfortable. there is only 1 low chair in the room and the other person has to sit on the mattress. I woke up to find insect bites on my limbs. we have a car and the road leading to the hotel is quite steep and narrow. the location is not close to Alishan entrance, about 45 mins’ drive of winding road.

A good and high CP place to stay for your Alishan trip.

Breakfast was a great spread, if any dishes were out, the kitchen would be quick to replenish. Room was well lit, showers were equipped and water pressure was good. They even had a sunrise corner for guests to go over and watch the sunrise. Place was also like a cat cafe, where they kept well over 30 cats in the main lobby/dining area

Place was slightly difficult to reach, was a good 15-20 min walk from 7-11, and quite a uphill. Room walls were quite thin where you could hear conversations in the hall, and walking past peoples' room, their television noises could easily be heard, which made me a little more conscious when talking in my room as i wouldnt want anyone to eavesdrop, whether or not they meant to.

Nice and Cosy Stay

Nice and cosy environment, we booked family rooms and the room was big with a big bathroom, we were served local breakfast and it's delicious, you can see sunrise from this B&B, overall a good short stay as we arrived quite late at night so not able to explore more

Poor

Cleaning staff was very nice and friendly when I checked out of my room. The room was comfortable.

I think if the check-in staff can be friendlier will be better. Seems like the owner was not care very much for any inquiry. I understand the breakfast time is scheduled between 7am -9:00am. But I personally think the time is too short for guests and they should have come up with some alternative options. The bathroom is very moldy and the smell is really bad. The air circulation in the room is bad, special after the shower, the entire room is steamed.

Very good

The location was perfect. Right around the corner was a trail through a bamboo forest which was magical. We were able to watch the sunrise next to the building we slept in, so getting up at 6:30 was enough. The room was very cute and clean and it was not too cold even though it was winter time.

The walls are very thin and the people who lived there during out stay did not obey the rule of being quite after 10 pm. So it was very loud until 1 am in the morning. Since the reception is not in the same building, and there was no one there anyways, we could not ask for staff to come to calm the teenagers down. I think this rule should be mentioned to everybody during check in to ensure a good night sleep, since most guest wake up very early for sunrise.

Very good

Really nice room. the owner provided us with tips on what to do around the b&b and which route to follow in Alishan. unfortunately we don’t speak mandarin but luckily we had other guests translate for us.

The communication was a little difficult cause the owner doesn’t speak English however the owner really tried his best and we made it work. however if you expect to see the Alishan sunrise above the clouds there the location next to the place will probably disappoint you a bit as it is too low to spot that phenomenon.

near to the sunrise spot, bustop and 7e. you can watch sunrise near to your room. walking distance.

the owner of property cannot talk in english. no heater during winter season. the room is freezing cold

Sunrise and cat lovers’ heaven.

5 minutes away from the sunrise point, a tea stepped field. Cats feeding activity in a spacious cage after breakfast, love it. The mixes are lovely. xx

An enjoyable stay with great views

The room was cozy with a cabin-like vibe. Breakfast is a home-cooked style buffet that offered a wide variety of choices with a couple of specialized eats local to the region.

The water pressure was a bit unstable. Soundproofing was mediocre at best.

A simple and excellent traditional Taiwanese buffet makes me energetic before hiking in the awesome mountains.

Very good

Convenient location for many sites around Alishan (whether Alishan proper, Lijia, Fenqihu...) without the extra prices of the higher sites, though you couldn’t get there easily without a car. Thank you to the owner for addingus with her (welcome) home-made jam at breakfast!

A heating supplement would really be welcome in the heart of winter, including but not limited to the bathroom.
