Great location
Bed was a bit hard for my old bones, but that is Japan.

I love its proximity to every thing. It’s about an 8 minute walk from the JR Ueno station. Plenty of food options around. Train station (Ginza Line) is 3 minutes away. I also loved that they equipped the room with a Refa Hair dryer, Refa Hair Straightener, and a Refa Shower head. That dryer did some wonderful magic to my hair.
I didnt like that the shower door was facing the beds. It was a bit distracting at night, sleeping with the shower door facing the beds.

Had a great stay. Room was comfortable and cool. Felt very clean. Slightly larger rooms than average Japan economy size. Worth the stay

Close to ueno station.
1. Room has glass door to shower room. Morning light comes through this fuzzy glass window. No blind or curtain to block this light right at the foot of the bed.
2. Staff must be instructed to gatekeep access to the free water refill station on the second floor. If you check out and ask to upstairs to get water they say NO, sorry. We even checked out early. No exceptions for this courtesy.
3. Very strong chemical perfumes spray upon entering.
4. No option for breakfast, at least if you ask if there is anything for vegans. Just quickly and currently told no The second floor has a little refrigerator where you can buy a few non-vegan items.
5. There is a kettle in the room, but absolutely no tea nor coffee.
