Tried to contact host when arrived as door code given did not work, had to go to office and James was very helpful, he phoned the host and got an answer and sorted problem
Have tried to contact host again since we have got home, as husband left something in property, again no answer to phone or as yet text message. The only person that has replied was the office at Marina who couldnt help because it's a privately owned one

Location perfect for our needs. Well appointed kitchen. Clean. Comfortable beds. Excellent parking. Good price. We have stayed at Tewitfield Marina over 10 times but have usually booked through Lakeland Estates. We will definitely return to 8 Swan House for future stays. The feedback offered below would add to the enjoyment of future stays and would be an improvement of the services currently offered by Lakeland Estates.
Lack of shelving and storage in bathrooms. Even though I acknowledge this is self-catering, I do think that when the stay is more than 1 week, a housekeeping service and restock of toilet rolls and towels etc should be offered. It would have been nice for the owner to check in after 1-2 nights to see if we needed anything. That would have been a nice touch. Likewise, when checking out, I think the owners were waiting to go in to clean, a smile and acknowledgment of “hope you enjoyed your stay”, would have been nice.
