Smelly room, ok location

The location is nice. The staff (owners?) - ladies look like they ruling the street :D They can get almost anything for you if you ask. The scooter is for rent on the property, and they even recommend where to go and how to get there.

There was a strange odor in the room, and the hotel itself looked like it could go down with stronger wind. We asked to do our laundry but it came back looking like somebody just dip it in the water.

Wouldn't stay again

The guesthouse was right on the beach front. You had a small shop below and you could book excursions/trips easily through the guesthouse.

The room was pretty disgusting. Very dirty and dated. The towels although washes definitely needed replacing as they had plenty of stains. Got bitten in the night by either ants or bed bugs. Don't even get me started on the toilet.. We eneded up booking at the other Elephant hotel for our last night that was 10x better.

No replies from owners made it impossible to check in shortly after 18:00 so we were forced to buy another night at a different property.

We also had booked online for just a double room - on booking.com there is not an additional option for an aircon room.

the property was at a very good location! On the strip of the village , super easy to grab food/drinks and essentials !

I felt very unclean and uncomfortable staying here. On arrival, I noticed that the bed sheets had not been thoroughly cleaned as there was multiple stains , in a draw I opened there was a used tissue and in the toilet there was remains of the previous person who stayed here.

Very good

The location! The Elephant guest is right on the edge of the beach. It is about 100m from the ferry piers and is in the middle of the action for bars and restaurants with handy shops underneath.

The rooms are dated and would benefit from some tlc- especially the bathrooms The showers are cold- but I believe this is normal for the island.

Very clean and comfortable rooms, great location

Very helpful staff, helped locate lost shoes another guest accidentally took. Booked boat through them as well. Bedroom and bathroom good size, stayed 4 nights, went to other island and then returned to Elephant guesthouse for another 2 nights

cheap but not the best

good location, staff were friendly and offered many services for boat tours/ferry/motorbike rental etc. Small convenience store under the guesthouse was handy.

the room was very dark and dingy, the window looked out to a wall. the room was very small for 4 people, no space to put your bags etc. there was an AC unit in the room, and on booking.com in the property amenities list, there was no ‘additional charges’ next to the listed air conditioning, despite other amenities stating they would require extra purchase. we asked for this to be switched on, and were told it would be an extra $34 for one day of AC. This was more than the price of our room. we showed them that it did not state extra charge for AC, but they said that because we booked a fan room we would have to pay extra. this is understandable but it should be changed on the site to specify that AC is an extra charge. we booked 2 nights, and ended up booking a 3rd via booking.com due to convenience of location. when we paid, we were told the price was higher than we had booked if for on booking.com. we showed the booking and said we would not pay more than we booked it for, and they allowed this but asked how we got it so cheap, and did not seem happy about this. the room was not cleaned in the 3 nights we stayed, we did not get new towels and when we asked for toilet roll we were told they had run out. despite this there was some on the side

Really good location but not the best hotel for the money.

The beds were comfortable, but the shower room wasn’t nice. Not the cleanest and there was no hot water.

The location is great if you get a 3 bed room overlooking the beach and the ' strip ' and you can have your door open as the rooms do not have windows. Basic accommodation right at the beach and restaurant area. We move from a 56 dollar room to a 92 dollar room at the front (3days). The owners run a good business and can speak good English, also booked our sleeper bus to Siem Reap

They rooms could do with a little TLC, lick of paint, the sink pipe was a little short to train away but we propped it up. Little alterations would make a difference. The fan worked but very hot in room, February,.

you get what you pay. good enoght if u want something basic

the location was perfect, right in front pf the beach and the main area. room was ok two bed big and enoght confortable . i felt sick one day and the owner gave me some rice this was really nice from him. the owner will help you for tour and staff if you need.

the toilet was horrible,verysmall and very dirty when we arrived we found two pair of eyelashes glued on the mirror ( easy to see if someone clean) . we could never use the sink couse it was clogged and nobody came to check it when we asked. cold shower but it is very common in the area not have hot shower. overall there could be a bit more love in the room .. seems they don’t care much about cleaning

😍. Really nice and helpfully owners and the location is perfect ( front on the beach) next to shop and motorcycle boat trips tour.
