Location and tastefully decorated the restaurant food and breakfast buffet choices was absolutely five star. The staff were friendly and very attentive!!
Public bathrooms were too far from the pool area

The modern vibe. The fantastic bus ahuttle with the great driver. Golden sandy beaches. 3 pools and loungers always available. Large room (suite). Cleaned daily. Good continental breakfast. Bikes always available for free. Paestum old town 10 mins on bike - highly recommendec.
Very quiet area. Only a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Only 1 restaurant in hotel with limited choice, especially for children- but lots of room to provide alternative menus. The hotel beach is via shuttle (not closest beach).

Our room (Sea View Suite) was amazing, very spacious and comfortable. The view fom the room out across the bay was beautiful. The staff that were there were very helpful and friendly and seemed to genuinely want to do whatever they could to make our stay a pleasure.
Breakfast was great. Lots of fresh baked goods and pastires, fresh fruit and a good selection of juices as well as great coffee.
During the day the hotel is very quiet, whihc makes it perfect for queity relaxing by the pools.
Location was good, less than a 5 minute walk to fantastic beach. Although it is public and not affiliated with the hotel, the beach bar at the end of the road is good, cheap drinks and fresh snacks made to order, but you will be paying for beds and an umbrella. The cost of two beds and an umbreall for a full day was around €40, which is reasonable as they are comfy and well maintained. There is a beach that is run by the hotel, but it is 1.5KM from the hotel and can only be accessed by the shuttle bus (a modern VW campervan which is quite cool!).
This is not a hotel to stay in for a week+ to just sit by the pool and or beach. You absolutely could do that, but there are enough negative points to the overall resort that would mean it loses its shine very quickly. It needs some serious TLC to bring it up to the standard it could and should be.
This hotel is totally set up as an "event venue". It hosts very large scale weddings, birthdays and other such celebrations regularly. We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and there was a major party on three of the nights we were there. The main banqueting hall is on the ground floor of the hotel and it gets loud. Music goes off around midnight but wou can hear people partying well after that. That in itself is not a major deal because the rooms are well sound protected when all the winows are shut, but if you are staying on the first or second floors, it would become triesome very quickly.
The main problem with the fact it is an event venue is that the hotels focus is almost solely on that fact. If you are a guest that is staying for a holiday, you seem to be an afterthought. The parts of the hotel where daytime residents go; the pool area, breakfast/dinner restaurant, bedrooms are all looking very tired. The umbrellas around the pool were damaged and in need of maintainence (all the large umbrellas and 4 out of 7 regualr ones). Some of the stone slabs around the pool were coming up and this mant that every now and then you'd catch a toe on them! The pool side shower was a dribble and was basically unusable and the mosaic floor tiles in the main Jacuzzi pool had been taken up to fit new plumbing points in three locations and then had neot been replaced, leaving patches in the floor.
Staff were great, there just weren't enough of them during the daytime. Only on one day was there any pool drinks service. Get more staff and people will spend more money!
