Sempre bella Scalea!

Terza volta che soggiorno in questo hotel che ora necessiterebbe di una ristrutturazione per potersi considerare un vero 4 stelle ! La spiaggia privata resta molto comoda

La scarsa manutenzione ed il senso di “decadenza” che si respira nella struttura!

Meets expectations. Very good hotel !

breakfast- super. I read in previous reviews about coffee from the machine, this is not true. Breakfast is both salty and sweet, coffee is brought by the waiter, delicious croissants, there are yoghurts, a lot of fruits. Perhaps after 09:30 the choice becomes smaller, but not critical beach- umbrellas and sunbeds included in the price, beach is clean, has excellent entrance to the sea - small pebbles, immediately deep, which is great for someone who likes to swim. The sea is clear, cooling, despite the crazy hot weather. excellent cocktails in pool area and, despite the fact that the hotel is full, you can always find a place near the pool, as well as on the beach enough places nearby and in city center where you can have lunch and dinner. You can order lunch at the bar on hotel beach, which is very convenient. But if you don't like the menu, then there's a great selection of other places around the corner double room is not big, but there is enough space for 2 people, everything is neat, technically and visually in good condition, clean , room has spacious bathroom

These are some small things, just in order to hotel will be absolutely perfect. Everything was wonderful and I don't have any bad remarks. 1. exit and return from the beach. Perhaps you should think about some kind of electronic key , in order not to ring every time the bell 2. The water in the pool was hot. Of course, in the current weather conditions this is understandable, but perhaps there are some options 3. not enough hooks for towels and shelves for toiletries in the bathroom

Wonderfull stay in a hotel with a nice style

Wonderfull hotel. Perfect position near the sea and the city center! great design of the hotel. Nice, clean and quiet room. Beautiful views. We loved stay there and we already planned to come back!!!

Didn’t meet expectations

The view from hotel. Breakfast was okay, but for vegans not much food to choose - fruit salad, fruits. Cleaning lady can bring fresh towels everyday.

Hotel rooms look much better on photos, in the reality it has nothing in common with 4 star hotel. It was abysmal since first minutes. Had to look for sockets to charge phones with friends in our room. Then we discovered that is not very clean there actually, in some places nobody is cleaning When we found sockets, we had to choose: having light in the room or charging phones. After sleeping on their bed my back hurt everywhere. And a massage course will cost me more, then staying in this hotel Service is awful on the beach/restaurant.

great location, friendly staff and beach facilities great

the shower “system” in our room is not adequate for the actual space of the shower. Even though the hotel, room and bathroom was clean the shower system and shower door rails had signs of mold and limescale deposits. Breakfast was very average.

Excellent location and Fantastic sea few from our balcony!

Unfortunately we visited at the end of the season so pool and piano bar closed as well as tuk tuk service to the beach.

Exceptional

The Grand Hotel De Rose became our favorite place to stay in Scalea. We stayed there three times for a total of ten nights during our month-long visit to Italy. The location is excellent, just minutes from the beach, the Lido’s and town center. The staff are wonderful and super helpful. The hotel has a restaurant for breakfast and lunch, but not for dinner. There is a very nice pool, and the hotel has its own Lido on the beach where you can eat lunch and sunbath. The grounds are nice with places to sit, relax and enjoy the view. We stayed on both the second and third floors with a balcony and amazing views of the sea and along the coast to the old fort. The rooms are large and comfortable, even for an extended stay. We enjoyed walking along the street by the Lido’s and our favorite Lido became, Il Pescespada Beach Club for lunch and drinks. The owner Mattea was so nice and helpful, always making our visit enjoyable. There are so many great restaurants, in just a short walking distance from the hotel, that we never used our car. We will certainly stay there again.

If I didn’t have mobility problems, I would return without question.

it was clean , comfortable and had an excellent breakfast. The view from our balcony was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice.

I had difficulty with the stairs down to the beach and there were not enough outlets to charge our devices.

Nice enough hotel and if you’re lucky enough to get a room with a balcony a beautiful view of the sea

Beautiful view overlooking the sea the room was good… Nothing extraordinary but adequate

One staff member in particular was not at all helpful with regard to sharing information recommendations etc. all the other staff members were fine

The location was good. You can see the whole beach of Scalea.

They don't provide beach/pool towels. The check in time is not until 4pm.

Clean rooms. breakfast was excellent and staff at the hotel and Lido were exceptional! A big thank you to Simone who took care of us at the Lido bar! Close to everything !!

No shelves in bathroom but that's ok.

Nice hotel and great location next to the sea

- decent room with very nice and clean bathroom, comfortable bed, new TV and air conditioning system, free parking - very professional and helpful staff (speaks great in English)

Some issues were encountered but I would return again having a better understanding of the hotel

The pool was good The food was excellent and so was Claudio who went out of his way to ensure we were happy at breakfast and the restaurant

Arriving at the hotel to wait in the lobby and an outside restaurant at 38 Celsius after travelling for hours before being able to access an airconditioned room The reception not being able to find my reservation when I called the day before.

they allow pets….people leave them in the room all day while they go to the beach and most bark all the whole time
