Great place. Unique with awesome views

Property is built on part of an old fortress so very unique. The common areas and rooms are very stylish. We had a room with a full view of the ocean…..so beautiful. The staff was very attentive and the restaurant was very good. Other good restaurants within walking distance. If you like surfing great place. Easy Uber from Lisboa and recommend Cascais for a day trip.

The hotel is gorgeous. It is a small boutique hotel. The setting inside a former castle/fort was amazing. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. The food was amazing. Everything about our stay was top notch. We would book again, and likely will book again for a future trip.

One room with 3 total beds would be great, but maybe not possible given the hotel footprint.

Fantastic hotel. I was surprised how good this was, given the location.

Keep in mind this is a very windy area, and Guincho beach is only usable as a sunbathing beach during extraordinarily calm or hot weather.

We enjoyed it. We liked the people and the style of the place. Not really enough to tempt us back however.

Very helpful front of house staff. Beautiful location, wonderful building, delightful lobby, very good restaurant.

Nowhere to air your clothes/ towels after the beach, lacking in outside facilities ie anywhere to relax ( loungers, garden). Windy weather makes you feel a tad imprisoned ( old fortress- no surprise), some of the breakfast staff a little unfriendly.

Wonderful experience in historic property located on the beach

Amazing ocean views, superb location right on the ocean, next to two stunning beaches. Great fish restaurants in walking distance the photos of the hotel do not do it justice, the handmade, stunning carpets are standout and the decor is fresh and very well executed. Bed super comfy and good bathroom amenities reception staff were very helpful wonderful breakfast in the dining room overlooking the sea, some excellent products (bread, cheeses etc) loved the use of the free bicycles

This is a wonderful property- these comments are tiny details that could have been better, but no way mar the experience i was surprised the pre packaged mayo, ketchup and jam - not what i had expected from a Michelin Star property Not many cozy armchairs or big sofas to relax in with a book - reception and bar areas mainly set up for dining

Superb view, excellent service, great vacation.

The view was stunning. The small porch was facing the ocean and cliffs, it was mesmerizing. The room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We appreciated the extra amenities (i.e. the cell phone) and the wine + cookies and water which was in the room for our pleasure. The breakfast was served individually (i.e. not buffet) and was superb.

We wish we could stay longer.

Wonderful, memorable

a beautiful location, ocean views, comfortable room, great staff, fabulous breakfast. The renovations to this building are very thoughtfully done.

Some people in reviews mentioned the wifi. Yes, it is not perfect but I was able to have several zoom conversations so it was working well enough. Yes, it’s complicated to sign on but the staff were more than happy to help the process, so really I am not sure it’s a big concern.

When we arrived a member of the staff took our passports to make a copy. We arrived in the late afternoon-the next morning we went for a walk and upon our return to the hotel the same staff member asked my wife if she is staying at the hotel when entering the property. More than poor behavior for a hotel like this.Very unprofessional.This left really a bad aftertaste about the whole experience there

Definitely don’t recommend

breakfast was good

We got to the hotel around midnight and the guy who did our check in didn’t seem happy about it. Not one single smile and taking deep breaths. It was very uncomfortable. We were starving, had just arrived from a 16 hour flight and they didn’t have room service besides vegetables soup. We decided to order something from Uber eats but the same guy told us we were not allowed to order food outside the hotel. ???? Really? So I either go to sleep hungry or I have vegetable soup. We ended up leaving the hotel to find a spot to eat at 1am. I’d never recommend or go back to this hotel.

Beautiful place with wonderful service, in an amazing setting.

A stunningly beautiful property with service to match. Don't miss dining in their fabulous restaurant.

Setting up the Internet was a pain. It required getting a code from the staff for each device we connected and sometimes the code didn't "stick"
