Reception staff were nice and helpful

Spa retreat obviously has a different meaning in Slovenia. This was mostly for older folk. No lounges beachside for guests until summer, even though it was hot and busy. We found the indoor heated pool too cool. Great shower. Room was fine. Breakfast was okay.

The location is rather isolated, and the whole resort feels more like a traditional spa or health retreat mainly suited to senior guests. It works if your idea of a holiday is to stay within the resort and enjoy a very quiet atmosphere, but there is very little to do or explore within walking distance. The hotel has its own private beach, but I found it quite underwhelming. Breakfast offers plenty of choice at first glance, but unfortunately the quality of the food was rather low. The coffee was disappointing and the juices tasted artificial. I was also surprised that there is no proper playground for children, especially considering how large the hotel grounds are and how many families with children were staying there. There is certainly enough space and potential to make the resort much more family-friendly. Overall, I don’t think the price reflects the quality and experience offered. Unfortunately, I relied on the recommendation of our group organisers when booking and didn’t research the hotel myself. Slovenia has many beautiful places to stay, and next time I would definitely choose something different.
