There was a dog barking out my window for almost an hour from 9pm on. I had to talk to them about it to get it to stop. I think it was one of the staffs dogs

The location and the restaurant

Food here is fantastic. Have stayed a couple of times; this time a thunderstorm took out the electricity for an hour or so just as dinner service was about to start; they did a great job of dealing with it, everyone got fed, food to the usual superb standard
Rooms are a bit dated, the town doesn’t offer much

Very friendly helpful staff. Easy parking for motorcycles on the ample tarmac area at the front of the hotel.
Excellent , delicious evening meal in the restaurant .
Has recently changed ownership, who I’m sure will make some changes, as present decor is quite dark in places including corridors . This made unlocking bedroom door a challenge as it was hard to see the keyhole! Some furnishings are quite well used, especially outside seating, and hopefully will be addressed by the new owners.
