The food selection was great and service fast, loved the muesli station at breakfast with all the seeds, nuts and dried fruit. Pool was perfect and evening entertainment lovely and chilled. The staff in the golf buggy’s were great, they would just stop and tell us to jump on to get a lift to our block. The shuttle to Garda was great as it was so frequent, never had to wait long. Waiting/bar staff were very friendly and accommodating. Spa was gorgeous. Whole place was very clean.
Shop was only open 2 hours a day and not all reception staff would sell bottles of water outside of those hours. Location isn’t ideal as it’s a long walk to Garda or to a restaurant outside of the resort and even though the shuttle was brilliant, you have to be mindful of the time that they start and stop otherwise that 5 minute journey will cost 20€ in a cab. Only one set of pool towels for the whole duration of the stay wasn’t appropriate.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Poiano Garda Resort. The location is beautiful, surrounded by greenery with stunning views over Lake Garda. Our Junior Suite was spacious, comfortable and perfect for our family.
The huge pool was a highlight, and breakfast had plenty of choice. The free shuttle into Garda was really convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
A beautiful, relaxing resort with a lovely atmosphere and a great base for exploring Lake Garda. We’d happily return! ❤️
The resort is quite hilly and spread out, so getting around can be tiring especially in the August heat.

This resort was spread out in it's own estate and so never felt crowded. The room was a good size and was clean. It had stunning views of the lake in the distance. Breakfast had a good array of options each morning. The house keeping team did a very good job and never interrupted us when we were in the room. The pool was a good size.
Most of the staff seemed to not enjoy their jobs, as our experience was that the majority were not friendly, did not smile or greet you and did not seem interested in offering much assistance to their guests. Luckily, the resort app you can download was useful to find out the basics about the facilities. The location of the hotel is quite a distance from the main town - there is a free shuttle bus service from the resort to Garda Town but this ends by about 8:45pm and so, with taxis almost non-existent, it means that you end up stuck at the resort quite early or having an uphill walk back (which was not an option for us with two small children and in the temperatures we experienced there this summer). The pool bar had a good food menu throughout the day, but the evening menu was very limited - we also discovered that the pool bar shut on days when the pool had to shut due to stormy weather., so food choices were very much reduced in those instances.
