We were generally satisfied with our stay at Occidental Fuengirola. The hotel has an excellent location, and the sea view from our room was absolutely beautiful. Another advantage was having a car rental company nearby, which made exploring the area very convenient.
The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of options. We especially appreciated the freshly prepared omelettes. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we really liked the pillow selection, which ensured a great night's sleep.
However, there were a few disappointing aspects. The hotel feels somewhat outdated, and the room furnishings, bathroom, would benefit from renovation. When we arrived, the floor in our room was not properly cleaned. The wardrobe door was also damaged and did not slide properly, and the lower part of the sofa was broken. These are details that should receive more attention in a four-star hotel.

Large spacious bed with comfortable linen, pillows and mattress. Bathroom was of an excellent size with lots of space. Gym was excellent with large variety of equipment.
Food on offer at the buffet for breakfast and dinner was not to our liking. Limited hot options at both and queues often formed for hot food that was cooked to order.

Very clean with all the required facilities and helpful staff
The pool closing at 5:30 was a little frustrating. This was the only area in the hotel that received the sun at this stage of the day.

The hotel is in a very good position for the beach .
Staff friendly and informative, though sometimes restricted by hotel regulations.
Bed very comfortable, and Internet good
Tea and coffee making facilities in our deluxe room
Also having a stand alone shower was beneficial.
The Buffet Restaurant was reasonable with a variety of different foods available for breakfast and evening meal .
If you have a sea view room you don’t get any sunshine on balcony that is in the luxury range anyway.
At the time we stayed no inside bar to have a beverage only outside Breeze Bar
Also bar snacks and Room Service very limited Menu
There was no table service restaurant available as an alternative except on a Sunday , if leaves you with less choices for enjoying a meal , especially as it a 4* hotel !
Also hotel charge for use of the safe !
