We were well taken care of, with advance intimation about dinner menu. The rooms were nice, both with a view of the high street. While the shower cubicle was small, the water pressure and temperature were good. Breakfast was good, but was portioned out manually on Sunday and had to be ordered in advance on bank holiday Monday.
The village has limited options for lunch and dinner. So, it's best to plan on advance and make reservations for dinner.
Tough to find parking near the hotel, whether free on-street, or the paid Dunster Steep.
While the hotel itself gives you WiFi, there's no mobile data coverage at all in the village. You're entirely reliant on restaurants and other businesses providing WiFi.

It was a nice place to stay with character. The staff were helpful & friendly. Breakfast was good.
Very dated decor although generally well maintained. A lot of stairs and passages, hard to navigate.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was very small and looked rather tired. The pictures on the walls were faded to the point of being almost white.

Location fine
Chosen for closeness to Dunster castle and Ultra challenge event.
I think there were some staffing problems. No daily room tidying & cleaning.
Breakfast served over 1 hour only. 8-9. Not really acceptable. No self service for cooked food. Portions allocated by staff.
Evening meal adequate but not remarkable
No dedicated parking. Public car park nearby but out of sight.
