Super Lage direkt am Strand, für Ruhesuchende sehr geeignet, da das letzte Ressort an diesem Strandabschnitt. Sehr gepflegte Anlage, die 2 mal am Tag von den Gärtnern gereinigt wurde, ebenso der Strand.
Leider kein Schrank im Zimmer. Da das Badezimmer ein Anbau mit halb offenem Dach ist, gab es täglich Verunreinigungen von Geckos auf dem Boden, was Scharen von Ameisen anlockte.

Lage am Strand ist super, etwas abgelegen und ruhig
Anlage etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ausgerufene Preise für Scooter, Wäschewaschen (200 Baht/kg) und Frühstück und Getränke an der Bar deutlich über dem Durchschnitt.

Bungalow sehr schön und groß, eine Ablage wäre schön gewesen. Strand völlig mit Sandfliegen verseucht, aber dafür kann die Anlage nichts. Frühstück sehr gut und reichlich.
Das Essen (BBQ) war eine Zumutung. Das schlechteste Essen in über 30 Jahren Thailand. Ein kleines Bier (großes gab's nicht für uns) für 100 baht ist eine Frechheit. 200 Meter weiter völlig normale Preise und normales Essen. Das nennt man Abzocke.

Le bungalow est sympa, propre et confortable. Le personnel est tres gentil et attentionné. La plage est juste devant.
La plage est jonchée de détritus en plastiques et ordures ramenés tout les jours par la mer. À partir de 11h du matin il commence à y avoir marée basse et l'on voit sur le sable et dans la mer d'innombrables déchets, bouteilles plastiques, tongues, sandales, bouteilles de verre, filets etc... Avec lesquels vous devrez vous baigner. Au bout du deuxieme jour avec mon ami nous avons demandé des gants et des sacs poubelles pour ramasser nous memes les dechets, nous avons passé 1h30 et avons remplis 6 sacs entiers de déchets sous les yeux du personnel de l'hotel qui prefere jouer sur leur telephone. Nous n'avons jamais ete remercié, on nous a jamais rien offert ne serait ce qu'un verre d'eau pour celà.

The only good thing at this place is the location. It would be a stunning place, if they just knew how to do it right. And the staff tried their best. But the place itself is just not well constructed. Not finished. You can put the best staff in the world to a unfinished location, they wont be able to make it nice, even trying their best.
This place is way too expensive for what you get. Altough the rooms are big, it's not cozy at all. The beds are extremely old (our matrass had cussions underlined, so it was made "flat"). We took the extra-cover which was put to hide the old mattress and slept on the floor. Much better! (even good then!)
Breakfast was not really bad, but far away from good, too. The music at the beach was horrible by type and way too loud. Classics. We came to relax, and could not have stayed at this beach not even for an hour. It felt like mass tourism in the 90's, terribly wrong.
At this place, we always had the feeling, that the owners/investors are just trying to scam the guests, by always doing just as little as possible. Always the cheapest option. I think, the management can't change anything, even if they are doing the best job in the world, if the owners don't invest some more into the infrastucture and the concept.
Maybe this was our mistake, too: if you are a young and welltraveled couple, this is maybe not the place you want to stay at.
Again I want to say: The staff was very good at this place, trying the impossible.

The staff was very welcoming and the host very communicative and responsive. I loved the serenity and the tranquility of the place. Very peaceful and amazing indeed. The sunrise was breathtaking. I also loved the fact the resort is away from everything.
The shower didn't have hot water.

Tropical is on Klong Kloi beach, right at the very end of the road on the southern most beach on Koh Chang.
The bungalows are spacious with large comfortable beds and the air-conditioning works very well & is quiet. The photographs of the resort are accurate & up to date.
Whilst they do not have a restaurant currently, breakfast is provided at the Coco Chacha restaurant just a 50m. walk on the beach & is excellent! The surrounding area is well kept & although the beach is a little rocky in front of Tropical, it's just a short walk to find perfectly sandy spots.
As well as Coco Chacha restaurant, there are others a short walk along the beach.
Cholly, the manager is a wonderful asset to the resort, as is Kong Tub & all the staff are friendly & helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
If you need supplies and drinks for your fridge, then I suggest you shop in Bang Bao before you check in or hire a scooter from them to get around.

Tranquil and secenic.
To many rocks scattered along beach short distance from shore, made it tricky to enjoy yourself in the water, dusty dirt track to resort and beware don’t park under the shady trees I got sap spread over my car.

The huts were awesome and I loved that we were right on the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and It was in a very quiet area since it's at the end of the beach, but you can still walk to some beach bars and restaurants easily. If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay, this is your spot!

I liked the privacy and the quiet location.
Lighting in the rooms not great eg no bedside lamps and no mosquito nets on the windows so you couldn’t leave the windows open. Also would be great to have a fan as we don’t like sleeping with air con on.. Other than that, facilities in the rooms were good

Rooms was super clean. Open the door and could see the beach. Beach chairs were nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was nice and fun to explore. Breakfast buffet was really good. The ala cart menu was also great. We loved all the food.

After a long trip around Thailand we was looking for a silent cosy place at the sea for our last vacation days and we found it here.
It’s far away from loud bars but has very good restaurant next by.
There’s not a lot of stuff but they are friendly and very helpful and we had feeling that we’re very valuable guests.
There’s maybe not the best beach in the world but it’s very natural and very picturesque.
I definitely recommend this place for people who are looking for the place where you’re feeling like at home with your close friends in rural place with modern facilities and the beach next to bungalow.

The property is beautiful with spacious, well designed huts right on the beach in a very peaceful location. It is well maintained with high levels of cleanliness and a great team of people working there- a special thank you to Cholly and Poon for being so lovely and making our stay so perfect! they couldn’t have done more for us.
The rooms are spacious yet cosy and the bed was very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed, including massage tables overlooking the ocean. Overall a fantastic hotel, wonderfully peaceful and we were extremely well looked after. We will definitely be staying again when the opportunity arises!

The bungalows are at the last possible location on the island on the west side road. You cannot drive any further on that part of the island so it it is very quite, seqluded. down the beach there is a 650m stretch, where you can find other hotels and restaurants, but it’s not interfering with the Whitney’s of this hotel. lovey place. would come back to it. staff super helpful and thoughtful. massage on the beach. great restaurant next door with great seafood and other types of food. recommend!
from 15-18 there are crickets that make noise. but that’s nature, so you can’t really influence that.

Breakfast was good....have a private beach...
Room was not clean....tea,coffee, sugar, creamer,all sachets were old... everything inside the room was in bad shape and unclean... toilet was terrible...i know the meaning of tropical, but the road to the property is terrible, some room have chairs and tables on corridor, but mine has nothing, only one chair, may be customer had to ask for more...bed was a disaster...in room i found a big lizard( thukke)...in total the stay was terrible stay out there.. lucky i booked for only one day, the second day i moved to another resort...i won't recommend it to anyone...i couldn't remember anything plus about that resort...sorry...

Very quiet, day and night. Location at the very end of the beach means empty beach also during the highest season (new year). Attentive and helpful staff.
Very limited shelf/storage/hanging room available. We stayed 9days and couldn't unpack... That's the only minus.
