Acorn Lodge Guest House - Free parking

I did not meet any staff as the property is accessed by instructions given (no meet and greet check-in), The property is a period building with staircases at the front and rear. Not exactly sure how many room there are but I was in number 25 with 26 being next door. The room was clean enough for me (top sheet on the bed a little stained) and the bin is emptied everyday which I was surprised at. The bed is comfy and provides a goodnights sleep, ensuite is welcome if a little compact for those who require a little more space it may not be to your tastes. The room is furnished with a set of draws, wardrobe and cushioned chair with small bedside cabinet. Shower cubicle has a curtain to pull across and the water supply is hot enough.

A little noisy from the rooms adjacent but apart from that the stay was great for my working visit to Gosport. Spending limited time in the room I cannot describe what it maybe like during normal working hours.

The beds were very comfortable and we had our own shower and toilet. We requested a hair dryer and they quickly dropped one in to us. All in all a pleasant stay and only 4 mins by car from the submarine museum. Gosport is the better place to stay to access the historic dockyard in our opinion and this place makes it much less hassle.

Thought it was ideal for the price. Was a bit confused about how to enter the building at first but we booked last minute as our other place in portsmouth was terrible.

Room was OK but i went out at 6am to the bathroom and the key card wouldn't let me back in. The carpets were very dirty. Also I had received no code foe keypad before arrival
