It was directly opposite the beach. My room was comfortable. Except that due to the severe gusty wind the room was noisy because the balcony door was not fitted properly. This kept me awake.
The toilet was a little smelly. Would have liked a sea view. English speaking news channel to be informed would have been nice.

Lovely clean hotel beside the sea, lovely fresh feel to it. Lovely staff. Lovely cafe next door also. Reduced sunbed prices for clients was a great idea.
Nothing really, maybe a water boiler at breakfast, water in flask wasn't hot.

The location is very convenient for the beach on the west side of the peninsula and an easy 5-minute walk/stroll into the central part of the town. There were ample dining choices just outside the hotel
For perspective, my wife and I have travelled for two months each year for 8 of the past 10 years throughout Europe, 17 countries in total. We have stayed in hundreds of accommodations, AirBnB, Hotel, B&B, Apartels etc. and have NEVER had the management dictate how the HVAC is controlled in our room. This hotel had a standing policy that during the night your room has no air conditioning other than an inadequate ceiling fan. Our room was 28 degC at night. I mentioned it to the desk staff and they claimed there was nothing they could do about it. There was no way to cool the room during the day as all power to the room is shut down when the guest is not in the room. The outside temperatures at night were slightly below 25 degC but the entire building heated up well above that during the day and retained the heat. Opening windows for a breeze was out of the question due to street noise. All in all a very uncomfortable experience. Bizarre!
ALSO, they front desk policy was that you turn your key in when you leave your room and place in in a rack sitting on the front desk, NOT behind the counter as in most hotels. The desk staff claim they monitor to ensure only the guest retrieve their respective key. However we noted many instances where the staff was off to the bathroom or elsewhere and the front desk was unattended. Crazy. Needless to say we avoided placing our key in the aforementioned rack to ensure our room was as secure as possible.
