I loved the view over the canal, the amazing brunch restaurant that was close by (and dinner restaurant). Actually, there are a few great restaurants. It is close to good parks for running. It is walking distance with some effort to the train station. The hosts were very responsive and impressive.
Ok, we just need to get the stairs out of the way. If you are able bodied, there should be no problem, but the stairs are not for someone frail. You need to be able to carry your suitcase up two winding flights of fairly narrow steep stairs. Also, many of Amsterdam’s attractions are 20-30 minutes walk from the Canal House. That really suited us and we enjoyed the walk, and exercise, but may not suit everybody.

Great location in a nice part of town. Owners were easily available for questions. They sent someone over when we arrived to carry in luggage (2nd floor walkup) and someone showed up to help take luggage down.
