The hotel was in a central place, right next to a lot of restaurants and cafes, with the shopping street and other shopping places in close proximity.
We didn’t get the room we paid for. Ours was supposed to be bigger, with facilities we didn’t get. We didn’t have the view we were promised either. The walls weren’t soundproof, we could hear almost everything others in the hotel said. We didn’t have toilet paper or shampoo, and had to ask for it when we went down to the reception. We were given old and used toilet paper.
The entire hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, it was almost unbearable for us, who suffered from allergies. We had to change rooms to one who had been recently cleaned, and didn’t have the same smoke level.
There was no cleaning or room service, and when we ran out of stuff in the room, we had to go down and ask for it. In the week we stayed, no one cleaned the room. The electric plugs and minibar weren’t on, and they had to come try and fix it. In the end, the electricity didn’t work at all by the beds.
Except for one of the receptionists, the customer service wasn’t really good. They were quite stiff and unwelcoming.
