We loved the location of this property- inside the reserve. The nature immediately on your doorstep is so impressive and wonderful. Great walks deeper in to the reserve. The restaurant is fab, including the free breakfast. You can also borrow things like wellies, free of charge (some of the walking trails get very muddy). We did some of the additional guided walks (bird watching and night walk); both were brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The room itself is quite basic and the bed wasn’t very comfortable. But, it was still reasonable for the cost. And we didn’t want to spend much time in the room anyway.

Stunning location in the national park but unfortunately we were just there for a flying visit. Rooms are good value for money, breakfast is delish especially the fresh fruit and plantain and the staff is really friendly and accommodating. What’s great is that as a hotel guest you get free access to the national park and all the lovely trails.

The location was ideal for wildlife watching. We enjoyed two excellent guided walks with very qualified and interesting guides that spoke good English.
Our room was very comfortable and spacious with a lovely terrace where we could watch birds and reptiles.

The Tirimbina forest walks really did reveal a decent amount of wildlife - various types of monkeys (lots of howlers), bugs, frogs, etc. We have seen a number of forests in CR and this was one of the more rewarding ones. As for the room - they were fine - spacious but a little basic. Breakfast too was "fine" - not great but not terrible either. The main things are the nice forest walks (and other nearby activities like fun white water rafting).
Bathroom a bit dark, furnishings a little basic / tired. But it was clean enough.
