The staff are very welcoming and always willing to help. The environment is very neat and homely.
I had not dropped my bag before I saw and killed 4 mosquitoes. The all the night I stayed, I had to be chasing and killing mosquitoes. Not a nice way to welcome me😫

Loved labadi. So much history and heritage. Lovely friendly accommodating staff - servers, receptionists, lifeguards, security - everyone. Plenty of places to hangout - pool, beach, many lounge areas.

Breakfast: Overall, I enjoyed it. I enjoy a continental and full English breakfast, but I found some of the traditional meals available to be lacking in flavour. Their pastries were delicious, and they were accommodating with milk alternatives for tea.
Beach: Easy and comfortable access to the beach. Hawkers will approach you to sell their wares in the private area, but they are not very persistent if you say you're not interested.
Dinner: Had pizza from their bar area, and it was delicious. Also had the yam fries and 'jerk' chicken wings from room service. It arrived very promptly and was also delicious.
Room: My room was quiet, and I had a VERY comfortable bed. I also enjoyed the beautifully designed bathroom, which was impeccably clean.
Humidity: It was often damp-smelling when the humidifier was turned off, despite the industrial humidifier in the hallway,
Leaking AC: -1 star for the AC that leaked during the entirety of my stay. I was told this was because I had turned off the AC as my room was freezing at 18 °C on my arrival. After I endeavoured to keep my AC on between 21 - 24 Celcius it continued to drip. I noticed the chair underneath was stained on my arrival, likely from previous issues.
I mentioned this to housekeeping, maintainence and front desk, who all promised to send someone to fix it during my 4-night stay - to no avail.
Damp Wadrobe and Bathrobe: I noticed that the complimentary bathrobe in my room was damp, and anything I placed in my wardrobe would become damp. I called and made the front desk aware in person and requested another robe - again to no avail.
Dark Room: I prefer rooms with a lot of natural light, as I like to chill in my room and read during the day. There is no downlighting in the main room, with the room switch only controlling the wall-mounted bedside lamps. There was also a table lamp and a floor lamp that were switched on individually at the base. However, you would love this if you enjoy a dark and 'moody' room.
All in all, I enjoyed my stay, but given the price and issues with the AC, I do not think I will be returning. I do think the staff are warm and try their level best. This is an excellent option if your priority is beach access.
