Friendly hostess, interesting old building with many old objects and furnishings, good and varied breakfast without being overwhelming. The bathroom was tiled with slate, an attractive feature presumably using locally produced stone (I recommend viewing the church at Dombås, 12 km to the north). Apart from the adjoining camp site this is probably a typical resting place for long distance travelers between Trondheim and Oslo. I have stayed there twice, both times in autumn, but the adjacent river may be refreshing on a hot summer day (consult reception before trying to swim in the river!).
Guests should be prepared for the comparative isolation of the hotel, there is not all that much to do in the evening. Dinner is served until 19:30, if you are late you should stop on the way and eat.

The hotel facilities are beautiful with the feel of an upscale country inn. In the main building, there are rooms decorated with lovely antiques, which can be viewed by all guests. We had a spacious room in a separate building which was very clean, quiet, and had a great bathroom. The hotel has a very nice, included breakfast, with hot and cold selections. Dinner was quite good. Parking is available directly outside the building. They even have sheep on the premises. There is a pool, but it closed a few days before we stayed.
They did not have an elevator, so bags must be carried.

Ofte tomt for tørkepapir på toaletter/dusj, ellers ingenting galt her!!
