Clean, good bed, good bathroom, aircon and wifi worked. There was a party next to the hostel the night we were there, so it was very loud. We asked to change to another room on the other side, and staff was very helpful and friendly to change us to another room.

It was well located next to the main plaza. Tuxtla doesn’t have much to see but it’s closed to the beautiful Sumidero canyon and Chiapa de Corzo. The staff was nice, and the roof top is a good to have for chilling, but the cafe/bar was closed for the whole time.

The rooms seem to have been recently renovated, room 14 was simple but clean and with new furniture, good amount of sunlight and very quiet at night. good internet.
The "Hostal" part seemed to have been an afterthought . The "kitchen" is about 4 meters square. with a fridge that leeks and opens the wrong way. no way to make coffee, hardly any cooking eq. or eating utensils
