Location perfect - 25 yards from North Berwick golf club.
Shower a little cramped in the single rooms.

I only stayed at the hotel for a single night before a landing trip to the Bass Rock. I booked a single room on the first floor which was very comfortable and had an en-suite shower. There are no kitchen facilities available at the hotel - instead the room is equipped with a small table-top fridge, cutlery and tea/coffee making facilities. I was provided with a small breakfast in a basket including a pot of instant porridge, yoghurt and two small croissants which was very welcome. I'm happy to recommend the Folly Hotel to anyone seeking accommodation in North Berwick at the budget end of the scale.
No hairdryer was provided in the room and I'd not brought my travel hairdryer with me since I was visiting the Bass Rock so I wasn't able to dry my hair after taking a shower before leaving the hotel early in the morning. The rooms are quite pricey for what you get - I'm just back from a much longer stay in very similar accommodation in Inverness which was around half the price per night - but I suppose that reflects the very high prices that are generally charged by the hotel / guest house sector in North Berwick.

Adequate for the price paid. The bedding & towels were clean & fresh, bed was comfortable and host was friendly.
The room window wouldn't close. The rooms are a bit dated. Staircase would be an issue for anyone with reduced mobility, very narrow and steep!
