The room was facing the ocean, which was only 100m away
We paid extra for the upgrade of a sea view room, which was agreed upon with us but only upon arrival. They suggested an upgrade of the room because they said the room we had previously booked didn't have a window (?). Furthermore, the price for the upgrade was a bit high for low season. The property didn't accept card payments, so we had to withdraw cash and the closest ATM was at a 40-min walk away. It was specified that there would be Wi-Fi, but it didn't have access on internet and it didn't work. The TV and air conditioning also didn't work because the remote control batteries were dead. There was only one towel for the body, not for the hands. The Lady seemed nice but she could only speak taiwanese and didn't reply to our texts

Booked a basic room with no window and upon check-in was shown the building next door. For an extra fee, I stayed in upgraded room - newly renovated, nice view, strong a/c, very clean, good shower.
Cancellation policy is not as flexible, owner did not respond to my messages promptly, definitely need to use Chinese to communicate with them. Unreliable wifi in building.

The location was great. It's on the beach, a 5-minute walk from Drifters Pizza Bar and the Wai Ao Train Station. There's a small kitchen downstairs in the living room with coffee and other drinks. The landlady was very nice and helpful too.
Breakfast was not included but it was easy to find somewhere to eat.
