The building seems to have been renovated recently, everything was clean and new. Beautiful view from the room, excellent dinner in a private dining room and free drinks in the lounge made our stay exceptional.

A beautiful hotel with a gorgeous outdoor onsen (and a private one too, although this one is indoors), plus an amazing Japanese breakfast and dinner included with the half-board stay. We stayed for three nights. Check-in is at 3pm, but we arrived in Kinugawa Onsen around noon and were able to leave our luggage at the hotel while we went out to explore. When we returned, our luggage was already waiting for us in the room. There is also a lovely happy hour for guests in the lobby every evening, with sake, wine, juice, etc. Our favourite routine was to go to the onsen around 4pm and have some relaxing time before the big dinner. Both breakfast and dinner were different every day, and everything was delicious. Our 5- and 8-year-old sons also really enjoyed the food, although the portions were quite generous and we sometimes had to help them finish! We really appreciated that the children were served proper Japanese meals rather than typical “kids’ food”. One small thing to note is that the breakfast staff can be a little strict, particularly about timing and how things are done, but this was only a minor point in an otherwise wonderful experience. We especially recommend the public outdoor onsen. It is beautiful, overlooking the river, and listening to the sound of the water and cicadas while soaking was incredibly relaxing. The indoor onsen is a little hotter, so I liked to finish there. The private onsen was a bit too small for our family of four, so we only booked it on the first day. Our stay covered both the weekend and weekdays, and there was a noticeable difference — weekdays were much quieter. That said, of the five times I visited the public onsen, there was only one occasion when I wasn’t completely alone. It was amazing! The service was excellent, and several staff members spoke English very well.

足の悪い人用に車椅子があったこと。 ロビーに17時から飲み放題があること。 おかみさんのお手紙 心遣い
少し湿気臭さがありましたが仕方ないですよね
