The place has a wonderfull terace with direct view and access to the ocean and beach. You can spend hours reading, chilling, having a drink and taking in the beautifull views. The buildings are very nice designed and you feel you are in a diffrent place - there is a lot of artistic insight put into in and there is a big contrast with everything around. Defenetly is a place to relax, enjoy the ocean and cats is they are plenty around and many of them friendly. The staff is very friendly and there is a general chill and relax vibe around. Our room had also a little balcony in front, plenty of trees and birds around - to complement the overall experience.
Our room was small and it was getting very hot at nights. We couldnt leave the windows open as the mosquito net is not matching the frame of the windows. There is a mosquito net over the bed but as the bed is also small we didnt want to be basically covered in that net. They should fix the window nets to fully match the frame - that will increase a bit the comfort in these type of rooms (the one with fans). The restaurants has huge pricess for food - even in off season when we were there - like ridiculos high pricess - many of us were going to the restaurants on the beach - also with nice views and better pricess. It also seems that random men are allowed on the premises (not customers) who are only interested to "chat/bother" white women.

Sobo Bade is a very special, artistic place with an extraordinary architecture. The whole place is filled with creative details, the view on the beach from the terrace stunning, the staff very kind and the food we tasted was really good!

Amazing location, perched high above the beach with views all the way to Dakar. We stayed in one of two rooms built into the thatched-roof turret pictured. It was lovely in January -- cool, breezy, few mosquitos. The staff is so sweet and accomodating. Food and drink is served all day and night and there are a couple of beach bars below. Kalife, in the office was especially kind and helpful. Great mix of travelers and musicians, with drums and dancing everywhere. Very special!
Hmmm... no hot water coming out of the showers but you can request a bucket of hot water, apparently?

I really liked the location. The restaurant is fairly decent with good options and pricing and there is a beautiful view of the ocean, a perfect and private dinner or breakfast spot.
The rooms are traditional, a little tight and lack modern comfort. There is no running hot water shower and this will come from a tap and on request. The location is quite hidden and tucked away, the roads to get there are still not very developed.
