Good service, casual environment, clean and comfortable bed. Excellent location in the center of town. Very good bakery right outside. Simple place for a budget trip.

There was some construction/sidewalk work going on right outside (May 27-29), but it should be really nice once it's done.

Lovely little property literally a 2 minute walk from the port and right in the centre of the small town centre with shops, bars and restaurants all around. lovely room with a separate kitchenette/diner plus a lovely sunny balcony overlooking the square. Next door to a bakery that sold gorgeous pastries for our breakfast sat on our balcony with coffee. Property is clean and well maintained and very traditionally Greek.The restaurants are on the shore and you can literally dangle your legs in the ocean as you eat they are so close on the edge of the sand. The island of Kythnos is beautiful. We have cruised the Caribbean islands several times but Kolonos Beach equals, if not beats a Caribbean beach any day! On the quay, opposite the property, there is a water taxi that will take you over to Kolonos beach for €10 return, you seriously cannot miss a visit to this beach! it is a strip of sand with shallow ocean both sides, it is idyllic but probably gets busy in the height of the season. You must love cats as there are lots that keep you company while you sit on beach front bars and restaurants, they are adorable as are the ducks that wander around the tables. One of my favourite Greek islands but Sssshhh! don’t tell anyone about it!

Good location, 10 minutes from the port and near all the cafes/restaurants and right next door to the bakery. I was able to leave my bag before checking in as my ferry arrived in the morning.

The host is an excellent young professional, customer-oriented and committed to the continuous improvement of his property. The location is excellent, you can get there from the port even on foot. You can find around all essential shops, groceries, baceries, mini markets, restaurants, bars etc. Merichas is an excellent basis to travel to all points of interest on the island.Private parking is offered for free. This property is strogly recommended.

Convenient location and quiet at night. Friendly, helpful host. Room was kept very clean. A/C, WiFi and parking were all available.

No door or window screens so flies were a problem when you wanted some fresh air. No extractor hood for the cooker hob. Mattresses too soft for my back.
