This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel, so there wasn't anything unexpected. We did enjoy the AC in the room as well as the mini fridge, which we used to keep our extra drinks cold.
The bathroom in our room has an excellent shower, and while we didn't make use of the bidet, it is available for guests. The hotel offers guests to be eco-friendly and re-use their towels, or leave them for house-keeping to replace, should they desire it.
The view from our room on the first floor overlooked the nearby road, but we could see the lake beyond the trees surrounding the hotel's car park, and we don't find the passing traffic too noisy, as we like to close the windows to keep out stray mosquitoes!
Breakfast is well stocked, with everything from assorted fruits and yoghurt, bread, rolls, pastries, cold meats, cheeses, and also hot food, including boiled, scrambled and fried eggs, sausages (although our favourites were not available every day), Italian bacon. There is also fresh fruit juice, a bean-to-cup coffee machine which offers around four different types of coffee, and let's not forget the assorted cereal options.
We also like the off-road parking available and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, for guests wishing to visit Bardolino and Garda, and the bus stop for Lazise and Peschiera is only a few metres further down the other side of the road. The waterfront runs alongside the main hotel, and the pier for the passing ferries is literally a few metres from the main hotel. We love to sit on the many benches and enjoy the views of the marina and the lake, as well as watching all the people passing by: some running, some riding their bikes, and many walking.
While Cisano doesn't have the same levels of nightlife as Bardonlino and Garda, there are plenty of family-friendly restaurants, bars and cafes within walking distance, and the restaurant attached to the hotel offers 10% off all food ordered, so what's not to love!
My only complaint is that there is no kettle in the room, but apart from that, I have no other complaints about the accommodation or the hotel service offered. Seriously, we cannot fault Hotel Vela d'Oro Dependence in any way, so I would say book the hotel, and enjoy your stay!

Perfectly situated on the lake close to restaurants, bars and ferry stop off point. Adequate parking at the hotel. The pool area and pool itself are lovely, very clean with plenty of space, both sun and shade with beautiful surrounding grounds to wander round including tennis courts. Breakfast was very good and the hotel and facilities exceptionally clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel especially if you want the quieter time away
I can't find fault with the hotel, maybe only that we were charged daily to use pool towels but then again if you don't want to pay bring your own!
