a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting

wonderful having breakfast delivered to our door every morning. the oranges were delicious and we drank freshly squeezed orange juice everyday.the housekeeping was excellent too you could choose each day to have a lot, a little, or none at all. they even cleaned the bbq each house has a private garden and a roof terrace with table chairs and sun loungers. we drank our coffee there each morning looking at the beautiful view over the ria formosa and the sea. laurent and alexia couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. while not intruding they were there when needed the grounds are extensive with lots of play areas for children plus 2 swimming pools,one for adults only. this is a place we would definely recommend

Great for famliies

Great owners with a lot of tips, very helpful. We loved the facilities and surrondings. The apartments are all nice, our kids loved the pools, the playground, just everything. We hope to come back soon!

on of the best vacations we have ever had

everything about this stay was perfect: attention to details, kindness of the owners, best kids place I have ever stayed in. A real « home away from home”. The pool has a shallow end for kids, the mère is a football/basketball field on the grounds, pools table, swing, sand pit.. A small shop is located on the hotel’s premises for your urgent shopping. The construction site doesn’t bother at all. We are already dreaming of coming back next year!

we loved it, it was perfect for us

From start to finish we had a great time here. We had a lovely warm welcome from August who made us feel at home straight away. We have two young children and it was perfect, they absolutely loved the pool, but also the other facilities including the trampoline, table football, swings. It’s also has loads of wildlife, we saw a staple regularly, but also bats in the evening, occasional small lizard and loads of interesting birds varieties. We also borrowed the bikes which were free, our six year old daughter on a child’s bike and our two year old on the baby seat. Half an hours bike ride through the wetlands to the local beach. The self catering facilities where also good, with an outdoor bbq also provided. But what makes this place great is the attention to details, a fridge with all the necessities for your arrival, a local ‘shop’ and ‘bar’ with basics available, based on an honour system. Fresh bread and organs juice delivered to your door each morning, a baby towel given to us for the little one. Beach umbrellas available to borrow. Well thought out and a fantastic stay. Highly recommend. Thank you

worth taking some mosquito spray, it’s not a big problem but it’s next to wetlands so naturally it has a few around.

A magical retreat to recharge your batteries. Top class. couldn’t have asked for more.

It is an oasis of tranquility and natural beauty. The facilities are outstanding for both adults but also for young children. There is so much space for everyone to enjoy. our house Flamingo) had everything we could possibly need. It was very spacious with a well appointed kitchen, excellent bathroom, outside eating area with outdoor sink and barbecue and finally a roof terrace. Home grown tomatoes, peppers, lemons and strawberries for you to pick. we were too early for the figs and pomegranates! August our host was always where when you needed something and super hospitable. Location wise you are near Olhão (lots of shops and a medical centre), the lovely town of Tavira and a short drive from Faro airport.

A piece of paradise in which to escape from our normal busy life.

Liked it all. Management was superb, so friendly and helpful, we felt very at home. A fantastic place all round from the garden design to the comfort and cleanliness of the accommodation. Couldn't fault it.

I can't recommend this place enough!! It was absolutely wonderful. They were the most welcoming and helpful people and the accommodation was exceptional! We had our 14month daughter with us and they fully catered for her every need as well as ours. It's the perfect balance for families. The breastfast provisions were plentiful and they checked in every day to see if we needed or wanted something different! There are plenty of toys on site in tasteful baskets that compliment the beautiful surroundings. The site itself is stunning and peaceful with beautiful views from your own roof terrace and overlooking the pool. We had the most wonderful week and can't thank Auguste, Caroline and Margarette enough!! We will definitely come back!

A piece of paradise in Algarve: beautiful and quiet.

The property is located in wonderful place: one can actually seat on the rooftop of the house and enjoy a wonderful view over Ria Formosa. The rooms are comfortable and all the necessary and expected amenities are available. Although breakfast is "not served" - due to COVID - we were provided every morning with a delicious orange juice and fresh bread. Jam, ham, cheese, yogurts, milk, eggs were all made available. Unless you're not willing to make some scramble eggs or boiled an egg, there's no reason why one should not be very satisfied with breakfast. Overall, I must say that I find the place to be marvellous, very close to Fuzeta and Olhão and to the wonderful beaches of the Ria Formosa's islands.

The TV channels were all in English and/or German. That may be a "problem" if you have young children. The pools are not huge, but I guess it all depends on whether you are expecting a place to cool down or to train your swimming skills.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay at casa flor de sal. The owners and staff were very friendly, the facilities were great as was the apartment. Changing of the bedsheets and towels very regularly. Couldn’t have been better.

Relaxing and beautiful setting, gorgeous breakfast, and attentive hosts.

Considerable care and thought has gone into the design, interior, location and position of each of the houses with opportunities to enjoy the sun either on the patio or roof terrace. The surroundings are beautiful with lovely planting, swimming pools and places for children to play, and there is a wildlife pond suitable for swimming that is part of a fabulous garden. The uninterrupted view towards the coastal lagoons is gentle and relaxing, and it's worth taking a pair of binoculars to watch storks souring (there is a pair of resident storks on the property) as well as other birds. The daily breakfast delivery with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese, and bread was delicious, and there is a little shop on the site for extras, including some lovely wines. Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming, informative, helpful and attentive, although never intrusive. We would love to visit again.

I can't think of anything, except perhaps that a comfortable chair would be nice in the living room in addition to the other furniture.

An amazing setting, beautiful accommodation with roof terrace. Perfect for our family holiday.

Setting was idyllic, tranquil. Excellent hosts who’d thought of so many nice touches to make the stay extra easy and relaxing. Great for kids - they loved the natural pool.

We were travelling with little kids and every Martin and his wife have placed boxes with toys to play with. In every detail somuch love and care is experienced. Its one of the best place we have ever been.
